Well...I must be getting better, because I've D graded several tunes I failed at the first time I tried them on Basic difficulty. And! I managed by some miracle to A grade a Basic tune tonight.
Looks like some songs you just have to memorize, eh?

The pad sometimes doesn't register the arrows, and what sucks more is that there's no bar to prevent you from falling. Some people place a chair behind them and use that for support. Others may also tape cardboard under the pad to keep it a little more stationary. Really sucks that there's no metal pad for Xbox 360.
You just gotta get use to turning your body to the screen. Eventually you'll constantly be stepping U/R, D/L etc.

Any step that requires me to do rapid U/D steps has me nearly falling over...and, of course when that happens it sets you up for missing the next ones as well.
On Lesson Mode, specifically Lesson 6, the side-to-side steps took just a bit of timing practice...but, the Up/Down steps have me failing EVERY TIME.
Liking this kind of game so far, but some of the things it asks you to do are seemingly just out of reach for me...
