In light of Slayer adding his Laptop too the worklog and ParanahJoe mentioning thinking about it I decided to do it aswell although I know I'm going to have the worst spec'ed one lol (really can't win having a 2005 laptop vs 07/08 lappy's). Im going to add the HDTune for my 750gb as well soon, I forgot I didn't update my specs when I got that so I did that as well.

Well... overnight did a long format and It seemed to fix the massive speed droop, dont know about errors though going to run that b4 I leave for school/work avg speed is 71.5mb/s bursts around 155mb/s sweet drive.

Hahaha, not completely free. They finally charged my cc last night at like 9:50 took 4 days, Oh well. its at 6 errors now on the read surface scan.... Definetly is going back, to bad though my right side side panel is a biatch to put on and off from all the wires behind mobo tray lol.

Mar 19, 08 01:54PMParanahJoe

Thats what you get for free. >.<

Mar 19, 08 01:34PMByRo

OK So, a little update, my Samsung Spinpoint F1 750gb showed up today, unfortunately it was DOA so Im going to have to RMA it In HD Tune it scored avg 75ish avg but got a minimum of 2.2mb/s , but it got an error in the health status, so I downloaded the samsung HDD tester and on a random surface scan it got 2 errors, so Im curerntly doing a Read Surface Scan and it has found 3 errors so far only at 50%, in HD Tune the problem seemed to occur around 65-75% of the test being complete so im expecting alot more errors to show up soon

Was bored tonight and decided to run a 3DMark06 Test @ 1280X1024 with Max AA and AF (8aa/16af) To see what the performance drop would be surprisingly it was very small. Only lost 1379 3dMarks, Still above 10k Im very curious to see how these cards would perform with a quad backing them so There would be no bottlenecking, but I'm still impressed and surprised, just shows there is still alot of headroom to be unleashed from these monsters.

Lol... Mark won;t be comming at least im pretty sure he wont be.

What exactly do you plan on buying now?! :S

Feb 13, 08 07:32PMParanahJoe

Only $250? That's awesome. Is he coming to the LAN too by chance? I start work the middle of next week, so I'll be buying computer hardware like mad. Full time 'till september and no bills to pay, woot! Well actually 700 for insurance, but I have 6 and some change for that already.

Mate, that stainless case is a thing of beauty...
Thanks, I have to agree, I thought about getting the black version cuz it was on sale at one point for $80 less, but I thought I wouldn't be happy with it and end up replacing it quick so I splurged on the one I wanted, no regrets.

quote ParanahJoe
Holy shit how much did you make?
Only $250, Making $250 is better than make $0 and having it sit in the closet.
