Okay, this is a great game. I mean it. It's possibly the best rpg I've ever played. After about 60 total hours of gameplay, I have managed to mentally note many interesting facts. I might not finish this little mini faq tonight, but It'll get done soon. To start off, most of the side quests and valuble items you can find.

Crown of the King Ghost
After you re-unite with Zola in the Great Desert and get the mechat, go to the cave in the Exile Forest(near Alumaru Village), and go straight to the deepest area. You will find a Poison Hydrattler, but don't worry, you should be fine if you're at a decent level(I killed it in a few attacks). Unlike the normal Hydrattler, you don't have to defeat the four heads, just pound away until it's dead. After defeating it, enter the small alcove it was gaurding and you'll find two chests, one protected by a black barrier, and one by a red barrier(more on the barrier devices later). The black barrier chest contains a mechat part and the red barrier chest contains the Epistle of the King Ghost, which is basically a letter he wrote before he died. After acquiring it, warp to the Forest of the Dead and there should be a green barrier somewhere blocking off a small area of the forest. Deactivate the barrier and enter to find a transformation chest that requires the Epistle of the King Ghost. Put it in, and in return you will get the Crown of the King Ghost, which doubles the money you get by winning battles.

Deafeating the Golden Poo Snake
After re-uniting with Zola, fly to an island called Southern Deserted Island. This is the only place in the game you will find the Gold Poo Snake. However, it flees all the time and is at level 40 with high agility, so it usually goes first. However, I have found that you can kill it easily by ecquiping the two following accessories to one of your party members: The Shoes of Hermes(in a room in the Ancient Factory blocked off by a black barrier)and the Poo Bracelet(blue barrier chest at the Jibral town gates). With those two items ecquiped, the ecquiped person will definitely go first and definitely take the Gold Poo Snake out in one hit.

Interesting Sidenote: There's a nearby island called the Southwestern Deserted Island where you can find all other poo creatures except the Golden Poo Snake, Jumbo Poo, Corrosive Poo, and King Poo. It really helped me fill in a couple of slots in my monster encyclopedia. Platinum Poo Snake and Copper Poo Snake can only be found there. Although I have found info saying that the Copper Poo Snake can be found in the Ancient Prison, I have never seen it there. Thus, I believe it can't be found in the Ancient Prison.

Obtaining the Final War Necklace and Ultimate Weapon Bracelet
Not too difficult. I forget exactly which can be found where, but here are the locations for Mesteries Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Un, Duex, and Trois:

Mestery Part Alpha: Picked up in Mural Town automatically as part of the story.

Other locations:
Upper Mecha Base

Ancient Factory: near the exit to the Wire Highlands, at the top of the stairwell, you'll find several statues of Double Lances. Get near each of them and they will materialize one at a time. Defeat each Double Lance party and the chest with the part will appear.

A island near the coastal entrance to the Undersea Caverns

Um....I kinda forgot just now where the other two were. Oh well, I'll find and post it later. Moving on.

Excellent way to make money
Equip one person with the Poo Bracelet and Shoes of Hermes, one with the Crown of the King Ghost, and one with a Dog Collar, then go to the Southern Deserted Island and run around. You'll ocassionally see a Gold Poo Snake appear. Fight and defeat him. Repeat the process until satisfied with your wealth.

Interesting Note: The money received varies sometimes. There were fights where I got no money, and some where I got around 25,000 gold.

Obtaining the Dragon Bracelet
After completing the marriage hassle with Marumaro in Kelaso Village, talk to the Kelaso Elder near the save point and warp device. He'll tell you about five powerful dragons that together form a bracelet of great power. Then go speak with the old lady who kept switching couches in the marriage hassle event and talk to her to get clues. These are the only clues you'll get from the game about these dragons whereabouts: "South of the glass, west of the living murals, east of the auroras, near the water flowing underground, and among the plantiful crystals hidden in the cave". Here's their locations:

Phantom Dragon: On the southern coast of the Great Desert.

Blizzard Dragon: To be accurate, just use the mechat to get to a ledge west of and right beside Kelaso Village and you'll see it.

Amethyst Dragon: Near Talta Village, on the Coastal Road right beside the rubble blocking the path.

Spark Dragon: Behind a cave hidden by a red barrier in the Gul Mountains

Moody Dragon: Go to the Underground River where there's a fork, one path leading to the entrance to the Ancient Factory and one leading to a load of Kelolons. Go down the path towards the Kelolons and fight and defeat almost all of the Kelolon parties(you have to fight them, no Feild Barrier). After almost all are gone, go back to the entrance of the part of the cave and you'll automatically get a checkpoint and a cutscene in which the Moody Dragon appears.

I'll post how to beat them tommorrow along with some other things and I have a good question:

Where do I find the Trapfloorus spell?

actually the easiest way to kill all the dragons except phantom dragon is to equip life crusher bracelet to shu and do normal attacks.

To be perfectly honest with you the rings are not as much help as they sound. as you continue to play through the game i found a lot of better gear. I will try not using them and tell you all how i do. and btw i will be making a guide showing everyone how to play the game professionally. i have read a lot of the forms about this game but it seems that i was able to kill almost all the boss's at lvl 20-30. i killed moody dragon at lvl 22 (all characters). The game is mostly based on your shadows. If you are going after all the achievements like I am (first time play through) then sorry to say but you have to level your characters... but otherwise killing them is a easy at low levels.

To get the bellybutton ring of eath you just search around in the treasure place in alumaru village and you will fall down holes and you get the treasure in the basement of that place and one item is the belly button ring of earth

idk if anyone still reads these but you can find those spells from white chest mostly, i forgot the exact place but check the A factory.

but before you do that make sure you get the black barrier.

you get this after you get the mechat ( flying machine thing). go to the big kingdom and behind it is cube again!!! omg run away!!! or just fly above it and press A. go though all the levels and you will eventually fight a dragon. i was level 24 and had lvl 67-99 shadows. he hit shu 4 times ( he had total guard). sad thing it he only did 200 damage. some will say this boss is hard. it is not at all. really. just use flarus!!!!! duhh!!! lol easy stuff.

eheh, i defeated the blizzard dragon without it could even hit me, i suppose that's because i equipped my zola totaly on attack/agility so she could attack like 20 times before the dragon could attack me (what he didn't ^^)

well i have a question: how do you reach the maximum level of agility AND where do you get the black belts??? I have 1 black belt but i cant find the others while my cousin has 3 black belts. and: where do you find the white magic spell: previve?
also i have a answer on the last message: these barriers are for 'defending' a chest/opening, later on the game (around mid disc 2) you will get your first barrier-releaser so you can open the barriers and open the chests to get some (not always) awesome items.

Wow, I didn't even notice this was my guide until I actually looked at teh username. Back to updating this thar topic then!

I just recently downloaded the New Game + mod. I am playing the game on hard mode and intend to play it through at least 1-2 more times on hard mode after this one then try impossible mode.

On impossible mode, the Landshark owned me in teh very beginning, sometimes taking 2-3 attacks per turn and doing about 250 damage per turn, so I need to get Shu and the others to a point where even without shadows, they have near 999 HP, and decent attack. I intend to attempt to get everyone to level 90-100 before attempting this as well, and getting all of my guys agility to near the max level, which I presume may be 999(for the King Poo battle).

One of my favorite tactics is using Marumaro as the ultimate shield.

Specific Accessories:
Bellybutton Rings of Water, Fire, and Wind

Skills:
Accessory +3
Skill +8
Total Gaurd
Barrier Magic Lv. 6
Absolute Counterattack
Long Ranged Attack
Meditate
Double Strike
Double Cast
Spell Duration +50%
Quick Magic Charge

He will protect all allies from single target attacks, absorb all magical fire, water, and wind based attacks as health, and strike back no matter where the enemy is, plus he'll attack twice. With Double Cast, Quick Magic Charge, and Spell Duration +50%, he'll be very useful for creating barriers for further defense. Another idea is to replace one of the bellybutton rings with Acorn Shoes, so he'll automatically move to the back when low on health, but against enemies like King Poo, I definitely wouldn't recommend doing so(especially on hard and impossible mode). I also have Jiro, Kluke, and Zola using high level support magic, Shu with Magic Sword, Long Range, and Double Attack(among others), Jiro and Kluke using high level black and white magic, and Jiro using high level barrier magic. They're support, Marumaro's my shield, and Shu's my tank.

Another great idea is giving Marumaro the life crusher bracelet.

The copper poo snake appears when you search a toilet in one of the cells. I think it might be Marumaro's.

Here's a little note about defeating the dragons.

I defeated the moody dragon the normal way and decided to re-try my luck with the blizzard dragon. (As of yet I've not completed the game, thus it normally pwns me)

Shu got a first attack, so i used Flarus sword - about 600 damage - and then it was Zola's turn. I used a double melee attack and the dragon died. Just died.

I was stunned and realised that because Zola had the Life-Crusher bracelet equipped, that killed it. So I tried the amethyst dragon, and the same thing happened. I haven't fought the Spark yet so i don't know about that one, but I know it doesn't work on the Phantom as the melee heals it.

So there you go. Equip life crusher for easy dragon battles!

Ok, time for me to add some info to this.

-King Poo Snake
This one was a pain in the ass to take down. Took me 4 attempts to beat him using various shadow/skill/accessory combinations. I've been playing for 80 hours at this point, so I had my levels up a bit. When I finally defeated the King Poo, I had Shu at lv 81 / 99 Sword Master, Jiro 78 / 99 Barrier Magic, Kluke 81 / 99 Black Magic, Marumaro 78 / 90 Monk, and Zola 79 / 97 Sword Master. Jiro had lv White/Black/Support/Barrier Magics, Kluke had lv 6 Black/White/Support Magics. With those two supporting/healing, I used Shu out in front with Endure (Guardian Class Skill) to be a primary tank (for some reason the King Poo chose to whomp on Shu more than Maru, who was also in front). Other skills that I found useful were Absorb HP/MP for Shu/Maru/Zola, Double Strike for Shu/Zola, Absolute Counterattack for Shu/Maru, and Less Is More for Shu/Maru. The trick that I found to beating the King Poo is to get a Quickus off first thing, followed by Shieldus and Shellus on the entire party. The King Poo has a very strong basic physical attack (it was doing upwards of 1200 damage before I changed classes around) and it's Invitation to the Darkness is also a very strong magic attack (over 1k damage to each person without Shellus). By my estimate, the King Poo has around 11k~12k HP, so it takes a while to beat him down.
