I was talking to my friend about this game yesterday, and he brought up the single player. I just kind of said vague things about it, since I've only played the first mission thing, and then went straight to online.
I don't think that it's that weird to go right to online, but I was wondering if anyone else hasn't played through the single player mode yet.

One day I got bored of online and played campaign on green mode and got to the last mission and its too hard, so I went back online.

I beat the first part of campaign, and went online. I went back to the port a month or so later, and realized that the idiot AI was dulling my skills, and haven't gone back since.

The first thing i did with this game was go online. I then found my way to single player later. I don't play it very often.

I've beaten the Single player on easy and it's ok. It's much different than online since online is much more difficult as players move around in un-predictable patterns and usually are good with 'nades.
When I first rented the game I played the first two levels and then went to online. Now I think I'll finish the single-player on the hardest difficulty.

To be honest, I went straight to online after finished Beach Attack, seeing as I got frustrated during Port.
I'm at Base now, but I'll never complete it. I don't have the patience to get through the mine-field.
