As there are tons of people who want to know if their computers can run this game, I decided it would be a little easier if anyone who wants to know to post your specs in this thread. Thanks.

crysis was very poorly coded, thats why its hard to run no matter what system you have.

Hey guys,
my computer is good enough just not the graphics card so im panning on buying this EVGA GeForce GTS 250. I was wondering if it'll play it at Very High settings and yes i do have vista.
and oh im planning on buying Crysis Maximum Edition, is there a difference in that to the other games or just all in one isnt it?

also I want to say I got a new g card, more ram, and a power supply and put it in. I got the radeon 4850 and now I can run normal crysis which is more graphics intense than warhead but now I can run most things on high with x2 aa and 1490 by 900 and I can run it fine. with about 30 fps. also I got 2 gigs of ram.

a lot of people before were saying why dont you use dx10. Well from what my brother knows about this stuff, and he knows how to build a computer inside out he told me dx10 is only good if you have settings on highest. But F.E.A.R 2 or whatever number you said is not a extremely graphics intense game.

Yes, very well I should say.
I have a 4870 512MB, a dual core, 4GB of ram, Vista Home Premium x64, and I run it at 1920 x 1080, on very high across the board (no AA). It slows down in places with a lot of action, but it is still playable. Not sure what the framerate is like generally, but it is probably floating around the low/mid 20's when I'm not doing much.
I would probably enjoy it a bit more, if I lowered the resolution a bit.
So you should be better off than me, though not by much. But at the lower resolution you have, you should have no problem playing it maxed out, without much framerate drops.

I know my computer can play Crysis well, but my question, how well?
^Clearly that is just a troll. It is an obvious one >_>
OK, my rig should be something like this (not bought yet):
CPU - Dual Core Pentium @ 3.0+ GHz OCed (No problem I'm sure XD) GPU - Powercolor Radeon HD 4870 (possibly OCed a bit more) RAM - 4GB OS - 64 bit Vista
I know I can RUN it (quite well), but how smooth will it be, at what settings, what resolutions, and how well would it perform in periods with a lot of action? Is Anti Aliasing worth the resolution drop? Basically, could I run it at a smooth FPS and get the sort of pictures you see in screenshots on sits like IGN?
BTW: What IS a smooth FPS? I assume 24+ (consistent) would be smooth (since any faster, the human eye can't really see)
BTW2: When sites give benchmarks for games (In FPS) are they giving them when they are stressed, or idle in the game? And are they using MAX settings?
I'm HOPING I can run Crysis smoothly at around 1920 x 1080 (Using HDTV and/or HD monitor), hopefully at least 2x AA?
Lastly, on a side note, I hear that Warhead looks better and has less steep requirements? So if my soon-to-be rig can run it at High/Very High well, I imagine the Warhead game would be able to run even better (perhaps with a slight graphical boost)?
Hi here is my coputer specs: 700mghz pentium III processor 256mb ram 18mb intergrated graphic card.
I was wounderin if I could maybe play crysis on high settings? my mate said it would work. also if it doesnt do you think there is a way to hack the game 2 make it work?
thnx
Holy crap I would be amazed if you could run any games from last 4 years on that let alone crysis! I have a 9600gt (core 2@3ghz, 2gigs ram etc) and I get pretty marginal performance @ 1680x1050 res (high settings no AA). It is still not a bad gaming experience with average of 30 to 35fps but those jaggies do spoil image - I would probably suggest 8800gts (512mb version not older 320 or 640mb)and decent intel cpu. I have to laugh at idiots with 9600gt like mine who claim to run everything on very high and get great performance, bollocks! I dont think you could even view a screenshot of crysis on this pc
