I have become Don of NT everytime I have played the game.

What I do is take over all of the businesses, and in the course of the game I do hit contracts as they become available, and do all of the various execution styles that I can. Meanwhile I do missions, but not all of them, saving the final couple of missions until later.

Once I take over the rest of the rackets and buy most of the safe houses, I do the final missions and then I destroy the compounds of the other families.

Once I have destroyed all of the compounds,I get the final two promotions, the last being Don of NY.

Note: I have never blown all of the safes nor found all of the Film Reels, but I have become Don of NY each time I have played.

Becoming Don of NYC is a 100% completion thing.
hit contracts and possibly collectibles play a major part in becoming 'The Don'

The Collectables do not play a part in becoming Don of NY,in point of fact I have become Don Of NY nine times without collecting all of the Film Reels or blowing all of the safes, and three times out of the nine I didn't get all of the execution styles.

You do need to do all of the missions and all of the hits and I think you need all of the safe houses.

Okay, i've completed all missions, got all rackets and extorted all buisnesses, got all exucution style, got all the safehouses and all my objectives say is "Become don of nyc" and i got EVERYTHING and at career progress its not close to being don of nyc what the HECK am i supposed to do now??
