The patch 1.01 has some good stuff, but a lot of bad stuff in my oponion.
Who would want your Redeemers rage ability to decrease from
20 secs to 3 secs... Wat the!
It would be better if it was decreased to 10 seconds or something.
And the refineries r 3000 each now, harvesters r 2000 each,
shadows r expensive, everything is gone!
They might not be to bad but still, y the economy weakener!

Late reply once again (email notification system sucks),
but the MARV also has the shortest life bar. No question about it.

i beg to differ, MARV has the longest health bar (cant say he it has more armour, but it does have the longest health bar), and the 4 slots make for true customization..then theirs the refining it can do, since i use it as a giant "you wanna peice of this" harvester most of the time anyway, it serves my purposes perfectly..

Late reply but: The MARV is the weakest of all the epics. In a 1v1 battle it loses from both the redeemer as well as the hexapod. It compensates for this by being a mobile ref and it's 4 garrison slots though.

A Hexapod doesn't need to move that fast if it has a mastermind/prodigy in it though, teleportation is a massive blessing to rather slow, cumbersome units.

in my mind the redeemer needs real work done to it...

in a side by side by side comparison i did of the epic units, (b4 the patch oviously), MARV had the most health, redeemer had the least, and the hexapod was in between, however, movment speeds were reversed, redeemer was the fastest, and while MARV seemed to keep pace with the hexapod, i think the hexapod coulda outran him given time, but in a combat situation, the MARV woulda taken the hexapod out b4 it got away i think, the redeemer however, may have made it to safty, depends on speed VS the attack of the MARV, what troops r in MARV, and the microing attention the redeemer & MARV get...

It's still not a buff from the 20sec version.

Good news every Nod player!

The patch has been updated and the redeemer will not be 3 seconds, but 8 seconds. Plus, the cooldown will be halved.
That means we can use it twice as much.

lol, i know Aulis...i was just stating the differences..

to be honest, i dont think i'ld be able to stand it if they made it too realistic..
but, no matter..

Jun 14, 08 05:23AMAulis Vaara

It's a game, cypher, not a real world simulation. The point is having fun and an unbalanced game detracts from the fun, an overly realistic game does too, it's not fun when you don't stand a chance, or only stand a chance through sheer luck. The fun comes from being more tactical or efficient than your opponent and thus besting them.

well, balancing is fine and all, this is after all, a game...its only fair for all sides to have about the same capabilities...

but, realistically speaking, things are usually FAR from balanced in real warfare...what with different monetary situations between nations, different technology, different training methods & regiments for troops, different armour plating for tanks and other combat vehicles, even the guns the soldiers use can make a difference in real war...

even so, there are just some things that cant be conveyed properly in a game...
