How many of you have birds in the backyard, besides me? We have 2 bird cages and in one of them, we have 4 canaries, and in the other cage, we have 2 galahs, which can easily bite your finger off if you get them upset.

Roadrunner crossed the street in front of me this morning as I was heading out for work. Been a long time since I've seen him around.

I've got some samller city birds such as cardinals and sparrows and such. A few blue jays and black birds. I've even seen a seagull back there. The neighbor lady has like 500 pigeons on her roof at any given time during the summer...you can't even see the roof shingles...it's like something out of Hitchcock's "The Birds"(1963).

We have cats so that stops us from having birds in the garden.
We mostly have magpies and crows, but not just any crows, we get scawcrows (sp), which try to attack our cats and eat both them and their food . No wonder my cats are terrified of them.
Sometimes we have the occasional robin and pied wagtail.

My backyard is popular with a number of species: ducks, egrets, a Great Blue Heron that loves hunting from my patio, crows (which the ducks do battle with.... and win), hummingbirds, titmice, black phoebe, cliff swallows (one family of which has a well established nest in the eves of my garage, but since they love to eat mosquitoes, gnats, and black flies I am not about to complain about a little mess), wrens, thrushes, mourning doves, acorn woodpeckers, house finches, the occasional owl, hawk, kingfisher, and commorant.

The list can go on for quite some time but those are the ones that come quickly to mind. ^^;

I don't like going near the galahs that much, and I'm glad that it's not my responsibility to feed them because they are Dad's galahs, not mine. The canaries are more nicer to watch and enjoy.

Many hundreds. Mostly we see cardinals, blue jays, various wrens, thrushes, cowbirds, crows, woodpeckers, titmice, goldfinches and a few hummingbirds.

We have several feeders of different types that draw different species (including squirrels ).

A few hundred.
I have an aviary and breed Canaries, Budgies, Burke Parrots and Cockatiels.

I've got a few chickens too. And a quail.
