I've just caught up with whats-her-face again, the one with the two big swords. She's just pushed a girl off a platform, where the girl's now hanging. I have to fight whats-her-face to stop her stamping on the girls hands.

How do I do this? Two evenings messing with this, only to get her down to 33% health at best. I'm sick of it. Maybe I'm not the most dexterous of people, but I'm not that hopeless, and I'm finding these boss fights impossible.

I loved Sands of Time, but Warrior Within seems ruined by overly focussing on the swordplay, and making it near impossible.

Any hints or tips? I don't want to give up. The adventure aspect of the game is great.

Sorted. It's all technique. I just took some advice from this walk through and then found it really easy.

I've tried constantly defending (M2) until she roars and then attack with E-M1-M1, but that simple defence doesn't work against her sudden kicks, and being lifted up on both her swords. Also the clinches, where the camera comes in close, seem unavoidable, and I always lose life there.

Counter attacking with M1 while holding M2 seems to help and take more health off her, but still not as much as she takes off me with the odd kick and double-sword lift.

Best I've done is by keeping away from her, until she gets bored and walks away from me, then run up behind her with SPACE-M1-M1 to jump over her and slash - as soon as she defends roll away from her. But I can't keep that up long enough to finish her off.

I've also tried just mad rolling around and hitting SPACE E and C all over the place. It works well for short periods, and then really badly for other periods. All in all, I end up dead.

Go on! Give me some help here. What am I doing wrong? Is this not a game to play with a keyboard?
