quote elder roseYour right, I was referring to hippy meditation .thats not meditation, thats just doped up, on stupdity.
quote davedemonBut most of the Bibles are different. They all believe God to be different things. Therefore we can't all be worshiping who we claim our God is. Because if one of them was right, that would mean that all the other people are worshiping a God who doesn't exist.
quote davedemonSome people meditate with Marijuana or crack. I'm sure that's not good for your health.
quote elder roseYes I'm sure you were there to see it.the (not) virgin mary.
quote elder roseBut most of the Bibles are different. They all believe God to be different things. Therefore we can't all be worshiping who we claim our God is. Because if one of them was right, that would mean that all the other people are worshiping a God who doesn't exist.you don't get out much, do you?
methadist, penacostal, morman, etc, worship alpha and almega, the first and the last, god of your fathers.
quote elder roseSome people meditate with Marijuana or crack. I'm sure that's not good for your health.any that doesn't lead to doing something stupid does
quote davedemonNot all forms of meditation promote health.
quote davedemonNo, every religion has their own God(or Gods).
quote davedemonBut ultimately because we want to be like Jesus.
quote Caius CosadesI seem to be out of this debate now...
quote elder roseTry me.acualy it does quite often.
quote elder roseNot all forms of meditation promote health.some are centered around relaxation, and metitation, which in turn promote better health.
quote elder roseThe Bible says the same, but it doesn't say that it will come in a form 3x stronger or something like that.what goes around comes around
quote elder roseNo, every religion has their own God(or Gods).i call bullshit, there are more than one religion that worships god, you don't have to be christian to do that.
quote elder roseThe difference is that, it's a personal commitment to Jesus Christ. Christianity isn't really a religion. It's a relationship with Jesus Christ. Other religions also rely on works to get to heaven. Christianity doesn't.thats because it gave him something to belive in.
quote elder roseYes. But ultimately because we want to be like Jesus.according to the christian bible, its sin/ blasphemy, against god.
quote elder roseYeah, that was what I was leading up to, but I'd rather hear davedemon say it.according to the christian bible, its sin/ blasphemy, against god.
quote davedemonand it never contradicts itself.
quote Caius CosadesEarth, Air, Fire and Water, along with Spirit.
quote Caius CosadesThen there is The Threefold Law, where any action you take, good or bad, you will get back three times as strong, however not as simply as that.
quote Caius CosadesAnd that every single other religion is worshiping Satan?
quote davedemonMy grandpa was a very abusive and stubborn father. He also had a drinking problem. But that went away after he became a Christian.
quote Caius CosadesAnd isn't that what it's all about? Of course, if the change is for the better, that is. Most religions change people's lives for the better. Wicca has for me. Buddhism has for my not Buddhist friend. Catholicism has for my Catholic friend.
quote Caius CosadesWhy does it matter if you don't follow these rules?
quote davedemonSo? Why do you need a book, which could have been changed? At least Christianity has a book that was written over a period of 1,500 years, by 40 people, and it never contradicts itself.
quote davedemonI haven't read the Bible, so I can't contest that, but something not contradicting itself isn't really that special.and it never contradicts itself.
quote davedemonAccording to whom? The 40 writers? And what do you need to know about life? Not to kill, not to commit adultery, that sort of thing? Why does it matter if you don't follow these rules? It tells you about everything you need to know about life.
quote davedemonAnd isn't that what it's all about? Of course, if the change is for the better, that is. Most religions change people's lives for the better. Wicca has for me. Buddhism has for my not Buddhist friend. Catholicism has for my Catholic friend. It has also changed many many lives.
quote Caius CosadesYes. Demons are fallen angels. But aren't demons on the "side" of Satan?
quote Caius CosadesIt's hard to explain. Like your thing. BTW At least Christianity has a book that was written over a period of 1,500 years, by 40 people, and it never contradicts itself. It tells you about everything you need to know about life. It has also changed many many lives. My grandpa was a very abusive and stubborn father. He also had a drinking problem. But that went away after he became a Christian. When you believe that someone will give something to you, you're confident. That could very well have an effect. If you think you're going to make a move on the girl of your dreams. You probably will. So, basically, you're saying that I'm worshiping Satan without realizing it? And that every single other religion is worshiping Satan?
Hate to burst your bubble, but most of these religions have been around long before Christianity. That's another thing, why did people only discover God after the birth of Jesus? Why did he stop performing miracles after the birth of Jesus?
