One thing that almost all final fantasy fans have wanted ever since FFX was released was a more traditional Final Fantasy game. But what do I mean by traditional? Well, I mean a world map through which the character goes through and enters cities on... and it seems that TalkPlaystation.com have gotten word that Final Fantasy Versus XIII will be traditional in that sense.

let's hope so.

Here's to hoping that the gameplay shown at DKS3713 will be made public at TGS.

yeah, like Cruxis said^. the 360 version is being made by another SE team.

I wouldn't be so sure with voiceovers, they might record all that at the very end. but no gameplay videos is lame actually.

The 360 version of FFXIII is being outsourced to another Square Enix team.

Who that is, I don't know, nor do I care - I just want more information !

As I've said before, if they still haven't got a proper voice actor for the main character, and if they still haven't given ANY gameplay videos yet, then this game won't be coming out for a while.

Remember, Nomura has to help finish FFXIII before he can continue work on Versus. I don't know if he has to help with the 360 version either...hope not.

But either way, with the circumstances, Versus is likely more than a half-year away.

I jst want the thing to come out already!! My ps3 was born for this game!

quote
- Nomura says Final Fantasy Versus XIII is more like a typical Final Fantasy game than Final Fantasy XIII (travel across mountains, oceans, go into dungeons, kill summon beasts, etc.).
I am almost sure he was talking about Versus' presentation, I mean overworld map and the such; maybe leveling up as well.

Hmm, that's a good way to do it. It's about the same as the countryside in Assassin's Creed, though a bit more open.

I agree, it should be done that way.

Well, there was world map in a sense, but it wasnt like the FF games where Cloud is towering over a village. You just just walked from one place to another and even though it was at its core linear, it didnt feel linear due to how vast it was. The towns all looked like normal from the outside and when ou enterd it. It wasnt all seemless like Oblivion, but similiar. Its actually kinda hard to explain, go on youtube or something and see for yourself.

Well, explain how Dragon Quest did it; not all of us played it y'know.
