Yeah, Now revive the fourm please.

You know... VC games should get a diffrent board from the Old game, It'll get more people since people will search for a wii fourm that don't know about the old SNES version.

To bad I don't have a Wii... But I still have like two copies of it for SNES. So I'm all set.

I bought Super Mario RPG on Virtual Console a few days ago. I haven't played it much but it looks like a cool game.

So what part of the game is everybody up to? I'm heading to Nimbus Land right now.
Im at Smithy but, the problem is... I suck! . I have Mario with the ultra hammer (i didnt know about the lazy shell), Peach with the war Fan (I didnt know how to get the frying pan), and geno with the Star Gun. At least Geno is good. They're all somewhere in their 20's for levels. I just started the game over with a checklist of stuff to get. On there im at Marrymore.

P.s. Can someone tell me how to get a bunch of rock candys?

P.P.s. I know where Grate Guy's casino is. You go to the pipes place (where the shy away is watering the pirhana plants).

Go into a Pipe and defeat all the Geckits. then beat the chain chomp. Go to where the base was and jump 3 times. You should be let in.

oh yeah and what does the Bright card do??? In order to get it (for those who dont know) you go to booster tower, keep climbing until you reach knife guy. win his game 10 times (not in a row) and you get the bright card!

I'm thinking about getting it, just to have it more accessible to me, but I'm not sure if i want to waste points(Yes waste) on a game I still have for Snes

I beat it twice and did every side quest except collecting all the card things.
Out of all the Paper Mario Games, The Thousand Year Door is the best.
I just hit Monstro Town on SMRPG.

Ya, I've been trying to convince myself to finish Super Paper Mario (which unfortunately I left at home :S) and I've done all of the side quests up to the point where I am (I think I'm on chapter 7).

My only real problem with SMRPG is that it's so linear. You have one goal - get the next star piece. There really isn't much to do aside from work towards that goal. (yeah, there are 'sidequests', but they need to be done in some degree of an order along the storyline as well... you can't beat Jinx's third battle much before you take on Valentina, Culex has to be saved for the point where you're ready for Smithy)
That's true. At least the later installments (The Paper Mario Series) had more side quests for you to do.

FF = Firefox. /facepalm

He probably doesn't need to buy it, he can play my copy anytime he wants (assuming he can get into the room).

I have the newest version of FF.

And as for the immersion factor, I prefer storyline > game gimmicks.

And from what I've seen, the storyline from SMRPG isn't that great. (Then again, what Mario game really has a good story line? )

And that's the main reason why I love games like Tales of Symphonia and Lost Odyssey (which I like enough to buy a 360 just for that game. That's the only game in my life that has made me want to buy the system for it so that I can play it.)

What browser are you using? Please don't say firefox, or I'm going to have to slap my browser because there's a version of it being *bleep*. XD
My browser is Firefox. Aside from some spelling errors, it works fine for me every time. If your having problems with it, go to the website and download the new version if you haven't already.

It does make some sense, though. If you don't get decent at timed hits, the game is significantly more difficult. But once you get the hang of them, your characters live for a good bit longer (taking half damage on normal attacks makes a huge difference... especially when sometimes you'll get it right on and take 0).
Also, timed hits make feel like your contributing more to the fight then just picking a command from a menu. You actually feel like your a part of it and that greatly helps the immersion aspect of the game.
