I just got the game today and it was totally worth my $50 bucks (i pre-ordered it). I have been waiting for a TNA game for quite some time and for the most part, Midway delivered. The only downsides are the limited match types, movesets & online play. X-Division wrestlers are the BEST to play as. Game deserves between a 7.5-8.0. Good first attempt by Midway. I'll be looking forward to the downloadable content and TNA Impact 2. If you pre-ordered it, its worth all $60. Especially since it comes w/ a bonus content dvd and an exclusive content dvd if you pre-ordered at gamestop. In my first match, I got ass raped by Shark Boy as AJ Styles. I then proceeded to kill Homicide with James Storm on Backyard difficulty. =] Lol. Its a pretty challenging game. No button mashing here unlike SvR. Go out and get the game!

It's an entertaining game no doubt I just hate how often moves get reversed or sometimes when you press a button nothing happens, thats perhaps my biggest annoyance since it has cost me many a match, in todays case it's cost me 3 against AJ & Tomko on Story but thats just me being picky.

It's a decent start for TNA and Midway but theres a lot of room for improvement but that probably goes without saying, looking forward to their next game mainly to see what they've improved.

Yeah. The reversals are a bit of a bitch and after finishing the story, it was okay and nothing better. Keep in mind this is their first game. And a new, inexperienced Midway team created it. It was obvious they wouldnt knock SvR out of the park with one game. However, it is solid and has a good starting foundation. Cant wait for iMPACT! 2.

I've been playing the game on and off for a couple of hours now and I wouldn't call it a great game. The lack of match types doesn't bother me, what bothers me is how limited it's starting to feel. Although that could be because I'm going through Story and all my matches end up having the same pattern since whenever I do a move that can be reversed you can bet your right nut it will be no matter how many times I try it, I like the fact that most moves can be reversed it's just a pain in the ass when everything you try does get reversed, even your reversals.

Maybe I'm just being picky and a bit bitchy about that, I am fairly tired after all. Still it's a good challenge and if you get used to the controls fast you deserve a prize for that on it's own I'm still mixing up buttons, so much for it being "a game you can just pick up and play".

it's ok game but i will never own it because i could better things with 50 bucks i rather stick with wwe raw vs smackdown 2008

I wouldn't call it great. I don't like it too much. Creat-a-Wrestler is no where to be found and the only great part of this game is the story-mode. They never said the PS2 version of the game didn't have create mode and i can't even change my finishers. The entrances are like 15 seconds long and there aren't any title belts in the game so far.

It's a good start, but they really need to improve next year. Get the game from blockbuster. Rent it, don't buy it unless you've played it first.
