I am a big fan of the metal slug series. I look at this game and wonder if is should buy it. Metal slug games are good, but 30+ dollars for 1 game that you can beat in 30 minutes cuts it. I have metal slug anthology for the wii and that has the first 6. I think your better off sticking to that or find you a neo geo pocket and get Metal slug first mission.

So what do you guys think?

mabey not 30$ but if your lucky enough to find it in a clearance bin for 10$ its practically a steal

If you don't care about the Combat School mode (and I sure as hell do) or about having a "real" Metal Slug on the go, then it would be best for you to just buy the XBLA version when it arrives. Also, there is not any 2P in the DS version, so the XBLA game has that over it too.

I thought it took about an hour or so to beat.

And yeah I was a bit skeptical about this myself, but I think it's best that you wait a while. The replay value isn't that high and isn't worth the 30+ dollars. Wait until the prices drop.
