I can't seem to get to the liuttle old man and the statues to continue with the game. I come on a different part. I seem to be able to only stick to the centre part of the room with the 3 blocks either side. I can see the little floating man to my right and the stairs I should have come down but can't reach either. Can anyone help, have I entered the wrong way? Can't move forward until I reach the man and the chest. Please HElp.

Thank you so much for this. Sadly I seem to be in the wrong bit to reach the guy..I must have done something wrong to enter incorrectly..Hey ho...have started on Final Fantasy vI and will maybe start Mystic Quest again at another point. But thank you so much for coming back to me. I really appreciate it. And if you work out how I get to the other door and to the floating old man..who I can see but can't get to then please let me know. Thank you again. Liz

Umm I really cannot remember much as I havn't played the game for a long time and my snes is at a friends till sunday. I remember having to push a block so that you can jump over a gap but it could be for another part of the tower
Umm looked at a walkthrough and found this if it helps
----Focus Tower (16) Access the Focus Tower by going north at the Libra Temple. Skip all Battlefields for the time being. Go downstairs at the first opportunity.
--2F Talk to the weird cloud guy. He'll tell you to look for Reuben and points to the statue. Blast to door and get the Venus Shield. Push the statue two spaces left, 5 down, and 5 more left. Continue left to get the Blizzard Spell. Exit the Tower and re-enter using the other entrance. Go downstairs.
--1F Go back to the left, through the yellow door and open the blue one. Go upstairs, then down. Jump across the statue you moved, then go left and up the stairs you find there. On floor 3F, exit the Tower.
