Zones and Fun Quests

Andale: Cannibals
In Andale the town's people are surprisingly nice and well mannered, talk to everyone in town and learn some things, then when your ready gain access to the shed by pick-pocketing Bill. When you exit the shed, the towns people will inform you of their little cannibalistic desires, get ready for a fight!

Arefu: Vampires
Visit Arefu and talk to the man that throws a grenade at you, he will inform you of "The Family" whom have been ransacking the tiny village. Follow his quests and find some vampires.

Arefu: Vampires: Shishkebab
If you get on Vance's (Family's Leader) good side, once you sort out the Family:Arefu problem he'll give you the Schematics to the Shishkebab, the most Epic Melee weapon in the game! Or, if you get on his bad side, kill him, take his Shishkebab + the Schematics. But be prepared to fight the rest of the Family.
Thanks to: Ajax

Bethesda Ruins: Easter-Egg
In Bethesda Ruins, if you look really carefully you can find a tiny book sticking out of the ground, very hard to spot, in the book is some details about the fall of "The greatest virtual designers to live." There is also some content in the book about the future of post-apocalyptic D.C. (I think it's a hint to FO4).

Contract Killers
A few times I have exited an area and encountered Mercenaries that tell me my time is up that my head will be collected, after dispatching them all you find a bounty on your head, have not learned much else about this other than the above.
Edit: The only time you'll have Mercs out to get you is if your Good or Bad, and they'll only attack when your exiting the underground. If your Neutral, you won't get their visits.
Thanks to: Ajax

Early Sniper Rifle:
Check the rocks closest to Megaton's walls. Eventually you'll come upon a rock that's hollowed out and contains a half condition Sniper Rifle and some ammunition. This is good for the start of the game, when you have limited weapons.
Information by: Ajax

Farning Money, Ammo, XP
This might be helpful to the gamers that are looking for more enemies for money/ammo/XP purposes.

Easy enough to go behind the Springvale school and kill the three raiders hanging out back there, kill them, keep the ammo you need, and then sell what you don't. You just need to know where to find respawning raiders. Another place is to the east of Dukov's place. Fast Travel there and go towards the BIG bridge that leads to the Citadel, but just past the first building is a little raider camp that respawns enemies there. Further east yet, and closer to that same bridge, very near the Irradiated Metro, is a ruined building with a couple of Super Mutants and Centaurs that respawn there as well. Then go across that bridge that leads to the Citadel, and at the Citadel end of the bridge has some raiders living under/inside of it. Also, the Friendship Heights Metro might be good, too, with the camp right behind it, but I haven't investigated there much yet.
Information by: segaman

Little Lamplight: Town of children
This is encountered in the main quest, a town run by kids, where only kids may live, when they hit a certain age they are called "Mungo's" and kicked out, most of which visit Big Town.

Megaton/Tentenny: You're Own Home!
If you chose to disarm the bomb in Megaton the sheriff will give you your own home, in which you can buy things to spruce it up, your own lab, work bench, robot. You can do things like, fix all health problems and addictions via your own robot, and change your hair style. As well as build weapons and create your own drugs!
Edit: Here's a protip for people who don't mind being evil. BLOW UP MEGATON. I'm serious. You get some shitty little crapshack if you disarm the bomb and 100 caps.
Burke will give you a richbitch PENTHOUSE if you rig the bomb. Also, substantially more caps. I don't remember how many.

Mine Field
This is a pretty cool encounter, you run up a path of destroyed cars littered with frag mines as a sniper tries to take you out, great place to pick up your first sniper rifle. Remember though, the Sniper is a person that you later on can choose to enslave, choose wisely!

Rivet City: Railway Rifle
In Rivet City you'll find a place called the Capitol-Preservation-Society. It's basically a museum, and if you agree to go get the Declaration of Independence, the Abraham Washington who works there will give you the Schematics for the Railway Rifle.
Thanks to: Ajax

Werewolves
I have no idea where to learn more about this, just a few times roaming around at 12am-3am I've heard howls and seen the outline wolf-men like creatures, this is just a theory, but very cool and mysterious.
Edit: The Werewolves are most likely the Yao Guai, a race of.. mutant bears, basically.

The Tenderizer Sledgehammer
The Tenderizer is in a locked room in the service access tunnel of the anchorage memorial. Most easily found from the back door. (I find the load of rooms and levels from the front door confusing) BUT you will need some parts for the door that some dude sabotaged. He left the instructions on the terminal in the first room you come to from the anchorage front door. Ther's a note on the dead body and the password for the terminal is behind the nuka cola vending machine.

Vengeance - Gatling Laser
A very high powered Gatling Laser. Vengeance can be found in the Deathclaw Sanctuary, located in the Northwest corner of the map. Wazer Wifle - Laser Rifle
The Wazer Wifle is a unique version of the AER9 Laser Rifle which may be purchased in Little Lamplight from a child named Biwwy for 500 caps, it also maybe received freely through dialogue if you have the Child at Heart perk. It is found on Prime's body in the diner near the Jury Street Metro Station. Unlimited Scrap Metal Glitch

You'll need a decent Sneak skill (or a Stealth Boy) to pull this one off.

You'll need an even amount of scrap metal (22, for example)

Give the 22 scrap metals to Protector Casdin (he takes 2 at a time) and save (just for precaution)
Pick his pocket and steal back the 22 scrap metals
Give him 20 scrap metals this time, leaving two in your inventory and save (again, just a precautionary save)
Pick his pocket and steal back the 20 scrap metals and save
Pick his pocket a third time, taking something he'll notice, so you get caught.
If you don't get caught load the save and try again.
If you do get caught, it's a success. You'll know it worked if you get the following messages:
"22 Scrap Metals removed" and "20 Scrap Metals removed".

You will now own 20 pieces of Scrap Metal, that won't show in your inventory, but can be traded off unlimited times.

You can get your character from lvl 1 to lvl 20 in less than 30 minutes, and earn around 60,000 caps at the same time, by selling them to Walter over and over, or get unlimited 5.56 ammo, frag grenades, or meds from Protector Casdin (slow, though, as he takes 2 scraps at a time), or meds from Underworld.

The effect will remain as long as you don't pick up any additional pieces of scrap metal.

With the Nuka Grenade Schematics in the Yao Guai Tunnels. I'm sorry but the advice you gave is the same as the book and doesn't help in finding the Schematics. Following the left wall inside the cave how long and what other things do you look for besides skeletons around a rock? There are lots of skeletons around rocks. More info would be nice and pictures even better.
I made the same mistake. The schematics are NOT in the tunnels north of Girdershade. There is another yao guai tunnels somewhere east of the Nuka Cola Plant. It is accessed via a place called "Cliffside Cavern" it's actually a raider outpost. Anyway here's a link that can help: http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Yao_Guai_Cave

bottom line: the nuka grenade schematics are NOT found in the same place as the sneak bobblehead

Yeah but this guide will tell you how to get them all in one game save, like a big version of your missable items guide, im putting more detail into all of it, im just writing down what im putting in the guide right now, so im oging to go back to everything and give guides on how to find all the weapons, step by step guides, rather than just saying where it is

May 17, 09 09:26AMExistence

Nice, but you do know that the bobblehead, schematic locations and most of the unique weapons are already in the guide, right?
