Well, with the trailer that was released recently, we might as well note the major, and I mean major, differences between Sigma 2 and the original version.

- Sigma 2's graphical changes are minimal, mostly contrast changes.
- New weapon similar to NG1's Dabilahro
- Playable Ayane and possible chapters (probably stated in magazine article)
- Playable Momiji and possible chapters
- Online Co-op
- Blood toned down, but dismemberment and Obliteration Techniques remain
- Return of enemies from the original 3D game, including imps and what looks like Marbus
- Possible co-op specific moves
- Hayabusa's English voice not as bad as NGII
- New Dragon boss in the Amazonian canyon
- Bone Wolf returns
- Statue of Liberty and Buddha statue fights
- All areas are returning, but some appear to have received cosmetic changes for the new characters. The Aqua Capital (Venice) now has a night-time version, as having seen Ayane in action

Too much stuff to ignore, adds too much to the story. Xbox 360 aside, Sigma 2 looks so much better than the initial version. Safe to say Sony just sold another PS3.

quote SuperFrog
Sigma is PS3 only... that doesn't mean anything, really. They could just as easily give it a few more tweaks and call it Black.

Of course they won't talk about 360 now, it's PS3's turn. That game could sell quite a few PS3s, so it makes sense that Sony would ask Tecmo not to say anything about what's coming for 360, at least for a time.

That said, Team Ninja's main fan base is on 360. They would be stupid to miss such an opportunity to make some dough. This recession is worldwide, and Japan is hit pretty hard, too.

I'd wait a couple of months after Sigma 2's release before I start considering getting another console.
The only thing that'll happen with NG after sigma 2 is Ninja Gaiden 3 being multiplatform at launch(if it happens). Most of the tecmo(team ninja)devs that was with 360 only was Itagaki group and they left to start a new series.

I really hope we do get Black down the track as I really don't want to have to get another console. Especially one as expensive as PS3.

PS3 only I'm afraid. It's the only reason I'm even browsing for a system.

Looks like I might have to finally get a PS3...

Havent look up NG stuff awhile, any news on whether there'll be a NG black 2 or something?
