I am playing this game on SNES right now. It owns.
I beat it all the way through to the Front and Back doors. Vanilla Fortress and Forest Fortress are hard. Castle Five is hard too, what part are you dying on? (that's the one with the seven or eight block train that you have to ride around, isn't it?)
Other than an emulator or the original console, what are the other ways to play this?
You can play it on your Wii? I haven't connected my Wii to the internet, is that all it is or does Nintendo have some pack or something?

On a side note, does anyone else have the problem where when you tap the game pak when the console is on, it'll delete entire files from it's memory? As a kid, mine did that and I just attributed it a dud or Friday job, but now I have a different one, and it seems to do that. Also, what is the limit on how long I can let the thing go unused without powering it? This is the only game that does that, Mario Kart has kept it's data forever, but I haven't tried to tap on that one.

thats an oldie for sure but a goodie, I havent played that in years mainly sudoku these days, but it was definatly one of my favourites at the time,,

Still no lifing this game every once in a while on my Wii. I absolutely love this game. It is so great and brings back great memories.

Wendy's castle is the 5th I think, but that doesn't matter, if you can't get past it just use star road to get to boswers castle. If you don't now how just post again and I'll explain.

I doubt they'd do that, unless they release it as a 10-1 classic Mario pack or something like that.

I play it on occasional on the GBA version to see how fast I can beat it. Can't remember my best record atm though

Once I get a new SNES controller I'd be playing it on that though. Can't beat playing the game on the original console.
