Yeah, I know only 20 people or so will read this, but for those who are thinking about buying Skate It for the Wii, here is a small review for you.
I bought the game yesterday, and I'm already hooked. If anyone wants to know, I'm playing with the Wiimote + Nunchuck because I don't have a balance board. At first the controls were kinda tricky, but after doing the tutorial and messing around in Free Skate for 30 minutes I got the hang of it. After an hour of mindless skating and doing bails(Trying to fall as hard as you can and break as many bones as you can in the process) I went into Career Mode. There are some beautiful cutscenes in it, especially for the Wii. So this career mode is basically finding sponsors, entering in contests and being in magazines, aka to be famous in the skating world. It's you, and a cameraman going around the world. You'll visit Paris, Rio de Janeiro and a few more cities where you have to do challenges.
Grind on that rail, flip onto another rail and flip out, perform a manual for 10 meters, score that many points in a certain time limit etc. Eventually you'll unlock certain famous skaters you can play with and new places to skate in. I'm on about 60% now, still need to unlock a few characters and places, but I'm already hooked.
If you're a skate fan and only have a Wii, I definitely recommend buying this.
