(All characters are unlocked from the get-go, which makes sense since you can't change between missions, and it's a Monster Hunter style game, where you're meant to pour all your effort into one character)
I'm playing as Pang Tong, but his staff is seriously dissapointing.

i picked zhang liao, iv got him to level 41 and im chap 6, hes a good player but quit slow leaves to much time for others to counterattack i prefer zhao yun or lu bu.

I use Zhao Yun...he kicks Lu Bu's butt when im busy beating Bi Xie (The annoying stone tiger)...and yeah i like him because he attack fast on air which lead me to finish half of the game......
Secondly i use Cao Pi...well just for tricking my enemy many slashes when im on a distance...

Cao Pi is great because when he attacks when in fury, his slashes produce shockwaves giving you long range attack for a melee weapon

unfortunately just choosing a character throughout the game isn't good enough. For a fact i know there will be a handful that run into difficulties with...the difficulty...that can't be change. Kinda forces you to use characters with "safe" movesets and subweapons. not exactly letting you do whatever as you please.
