"With the now-impending re-release of Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes on Xbox LIVE Arcade and the PlayStation Network, many fans believe that it's smooth sailing for Capcom to get to work on a sequel to the popular fighting game, and give us the showdown we all really want: Deadpool vs. Dante.
Alas, "The short answer is no, that's not any part of this deal," Capcom's Community Manager Seth Killian related to Joystiq at a recent media event. "What we're hoping is that if people get really juiced about this title, and we can show Marvel that there's a lot of heat behind this, then they'll open up the door for us to do something with '3,' which is something we'd love to do."
In the meantime, licensing issues are the big hurdle preventing Capcom from making any further motion with the property."
I answered my own question. Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is impossible at the moment. But if enough fans buy MVC 2, Marvel will have no choice but to get the liscensing agreement with capcom.

I'm confused about capcom's relationship with Marvel. If Capcom can make this, does that mean they have a full liscensing agreement with marvel? If they did, then that would mean they can make MVC 3. But I was reading on other boards they cannot make it for the WII because there is not enough memory on the WII to contain it. They also cannot make the game as a seperate disc either because of a lack of liscensing agreement with Marvel fails.
So what does Capcom need to do MVC 2 with marvel for PS3 network?
