My brother bought bf2 and it worked like a dream on his vista basic acer pc with creative sound blaster x-fi sound. But ever since he added an ati radeon 1gb graphics card and upgraded to vista premium, things started going wrong.

First, he tried to change his sound setting to 5.1 surround, but as soon as he went into options and clicked Sound, the game froze and crashed to the desktop. He tried raising the video settings, and another C2D. Finally he gave up and tried to start a map, but as soon as one finished loading, it just C2D again. What's wrong with his game? He tried removing the sound card and using his motherboard's sound but still no luck.

The game works perfectly on my computer which isn't much different, except for its lack of a sound card. does anybody know what's wrong? Thanks
