Well i am now at last nod mission. I am supposed to defend alien towers from gdi for kane(as he has told).

I have not read nod ending spoilers, so i am sharing my own theory(might be wrong)before concluding the campaign.

If i were a nod commander i would say this to ajay

"Kane always hold vital information to himself. Just like he has tricked gdi into triggering a liquid tiberium explosion to attract alien's attention to earth. Several million nod,gdi and civilian lives were lost because of that. Heck, we could hack one ion cannon for that purpose(as in previous tiberium wars) without so much bloddshed.

Kane might not be interested in the towers just for himself. Since the towers could be a way for the aliens to escape earth and head back home. Kane is actually using our forces to help aliens escape. In the end he may very well be in direct contact with the aliens, double dealing with them too."
