I think that is because you have to press the R button to bend the note. Or it could be your headphones.

So I like rockers 1 and 2, and now for some reason, I'm decent at best only when I'm wearing headphones. So I tried playing rockers 2 and the first guy (black spiky haired guy) sounds mono and quieter. Am I some sort of tone deph or is it the game?
