I realized that the PC version port sucks compared to the original dreamcast version. The opening cinematic is missing all the names and game title and all other cutscenes and music score were horribly compressed, even missing the loop points that made the songs play over and over without restarting from the beginning. Sound fxs are playing too loud, and is even missing some of them.

So i've remade most of it from scratch, using the dreamcast version cd.

First thing to do was to demux the DC opening scene, readd music, the missing names and game title at the end (found directly on a file in the dreamcast version. On both the DC & PS2 version, these are actually added by the hardware on a layer over the video. I dunno why this wasnt programmed on the PC version in the first place.

Next was to rip all the other videos and battle clips. And convert all the music to waves (uncompressed). I've added 3 loops too every songs (should be more than enough). I couldnt find the sound fxs on the DC version, but i've reeq'd the original pc ones, they play more nicely with the rest of game's music.

For now i only put the opening cinematic up, if theres enough interest i'll be more than happy to make the rest available to you guys.

Just copy the file over the old one in your grandia 2 'VISUAL' directory, note that you need to have the nocd crack along with all the content of CD2 copied directly in the grandia 2 directory. For vista users, you still need to install the indeo 5 codec as is the case to play the original videos, or you will get a blank screen.

heres the link, it's a big file (143mb) but i had to do it to make sur it's not loosing anything details from the origianl file:
