Depends. This version of the game is similar to the Japanese SNES one as opposed to the dumbed-down American versions. So the difficulty is a lot greater than what you might be expecting. However, if you like RPGs and enjoy challenges, this game is certainly worth it considering you've never played it.

i've never tried final fantasy iv at all... beat most of the other ones... is there any reason to try the original version as opposed to the ds remake??? just wondering if i should play the original over the remake as a first time player
