Is it just me or is there alot of hate for this site? I mean it seems like it has very well written articles based off logic and reasoning from the writer.
I'm not saying he's always right, since the times I read it I figured it was the articles opinion based off points(which I think this article Master Samo made some big points) that logically made sense.
But everytime I see an article from there the first comment or someone comes out with "oh great it's HHGS, it's automatically trash". Alot of places that submits news can either be accurate, someone's opinion since it's a blog, or a rumor.
I mean, is it possible the staff does have info others haven't gotten or posted sooner before anyone else?
I'm just curious why the hate on the site. I mean it's not like I always agree, but I always read the source and shed my thoughts as a gamer on there without bashing the site or The writer personally. Samo specifically has never flamed anyone, written incredible articles and seems like a nice person to chat with. Hell I even made points as to why I felt MGS4 could end up on the 360. And I used logically valid points explaining how. He did the same.
I don't know, maybe i'm alone in this, but I feel the site is getting unfair treatment.
What do you guys think?

The problem is, you base one writer and claim the site is shit. HHGS isn't run by one person. But multiple. Maybe it's a few other writers causing the site to get some bad rep, but from what I've seen Master Samo has been the most mature regarding what he puts up, and everyone is just flaming him and the site.
Again this is just me, but I feel the site is getting unfair treatment and comments. Almost like the Soulja Boy articles except he's just joking around. I have listen to his songs and I actually think they're not bad. Not the greatest, but still.
I love GameGrep because unlike N4G, most users here do not tolerate this bullshit, and one can only hope that continues.
This has been dealt with. Thank you for notifying us.
Unfortunately, this sort of thing does not fall under our criteria of what to look out for, and we can look to see if we can add this sort of thing to our approval process.
The feedback is appreciated.

For me, it is all about them stealing articles.
In fact, here is one they still have up, having my name on it as though I wrote for the site:
www.hiphopgamershow.com/?p=1720
Note how they put "bingegamer.net" under the image after we requested they take it down, as though editing that non-clickable link makes it okay to copy and paste a full article (note, it is not okay, and is in fact illegal). One of my partners had wrote this up http://www.bingegamer.net/2009/attn-internet-the-definition-of-copypaste/ as a few of the "fans" of their site started posting on Binge Gamer, so we just wanted to make sure our side is heard. As far as I know, I have every right to have their host drop support for the site (at least temporarily), but I honestly have no desire to do that, they do quite a good enough job of turning people away from their site.
This hasn't ended though, even another Grep article posted just this past week:
I love GameGrep because unlike N4G, most users here do not tolerate this bullshit, and one can only hope that continues.

Well, they've brought it upon themselves. I used to read his articles and watch his vids back when they were first being posted on gamegrep, but most of his news comes from "can't tell you guys who, dog, but my people tell me". I can understand annonymous sources, but for EVERYTHING? I slowly have lost interest in their articles, and find it hard to take him seriously most of the time, though he does posts some good stuff now and then.

I do feel it's a bit unfair writing them off. For example, in their recent God of War 3 article I saw somebody comment on how it was just another HHGS article and received a thumbs-up even, only to have their comment (rightfully) removed. There is certainly nothing wrong with the article, itself.
Back when they first started posting, their articles certainly weren't all that bad or anything. But lately their caliber has dipped tremendously as they've resorted to making baseless assumptions in some of their posts (if you don't get what's wrong with it, I explain it in my comment). Due to this string of poor articles, I think they've managed to garner a bad rep and will continue to be brushed off simply because they're falling under the "Oh it's just another HHGS article" pitfall. They just need to raise their standards and not post stuff without backing it up with concrete evidence imo.

HipHopGamer is certainly not the most creditable of sources. They play fanboys off one another for hits almost constantly. They have one article about awesome one console is, while simultaneously bashing another, then reverse positions just a few weeks later. They sometimes get access to some good stuff, but they have so much bias I really don't care anymore.
In my opinion, their bad name is well deserved.

From what I can see his whole "mighter-than-thou" "I shalt not show emotion" attitude is aggravating people.
