I know this is slightly off topic but after searching various websites and comparing them i believe i have compiled a decent list of characters that are set to appear in the game.

If you haven't realised so far this does contain some minor spoilers regarding the story so if you want to keep the story a secret ignore this post.

Spoiler: Batman Arkham Asylum Main Villians

The Joker (confirmed through trailers etc) - Im sure everyone knows this one already. The Joker will appear as the main antagonist of the game and is suspected to be the final boss. He will also be a playable character in a PS3 exclusive downloadable challenge map.

Killer Croc (confirmed through trailer) - Again shown in the trailers. He is set to appear in one of the many boss fights.

Harley Quinn (confirmed through trailer) - Character appears many times in both trailers and gameplay videos. Is suspected to be a boss fight.

Bane (confirmed through trailer) - Apperas in many of the trailers. Is a confirmed boss fight.

Mr Zsasz (confirmed through demo) - Was a mini boss in some degree in the demo.

Poison Ivy (confirmed through trailer) - Appears in trailer is a confirmed boss fight.

Scarecrow -(confirmed through challenge map) - Will appear in the pre - order exclusive challenge map Dem Bones and is supposedley the final boss of that challenge map.

These next set of characters are believed to appear as cameo roles and i read many different articles with many contrasting statements and again some mild spoilers.

Maxie Zeus - As of me typing this it is believeid that in the room which you fight Mr Zsasz in the demo the room containing hieroglyphics or so they are believed to be is a reference to the character.

Two Face - Collectible Two - Face coins can be found within the game.

The Riddler - As seen in the demo Riddler trophies can be found in the game.

Amygdala - Not so much a cameo, is rumoured to be a mini boss. One article i read stated the creature released from the cage at the end of the demo is him however im not sure how reliable that is.

There is also a list that can be found on the wikipedia containing characters both confirmend and not confirmed. A lot of the characters on that list are rumoured to be unlockable biographies.

I would also like to apologise in advance for any mistakes i made i created the list rather quickly so there probably will be some mistakes with regards to the characters.

Hm, not a bad list. Not exactly sure I'll go for the full 1000 (because MUA2 will be just around the corner), but will see. Jeez, three 50 GS secret achievements.

Yep, they're the same as the achievements.

_{While Trophies and Achievements work as the same thing, most aren't done the same way. Sony has continued to ask developers to make UNIQUE trophies and not copy and past the Achievement list but as you can see they keep doing it.

I doubt trophies will be done the same way as Achievements.}

Same thing. Achievements = Trophies. They're both equivalent to one another. I would be surprised if either platform had more achievements/trophies to unlock than the other.

Not necessarily. I would assume if you beat the game on hard, you would get the easy and normal achievements as well. And if you beat it on normal, you would get the easy achievements like most games.

Bioshock was. My cousin got every trophy in that game on one playthrough xD

I think it will be though simply for the fact that the only reason not to have them stack is because the game is too poor to warrant a second playthrough on its own, so they resort to forcing people if they want the trophies/achievements and this game looks fun enough not to resort to that.

_{Ah bioshock, yea I didn't play the PS3 version only cause I played most of the 360 one. Didn't see a big reason to. Not a big bioshock fan.}

Apparently Scarecrow is the only other major villain in story mode, besides Harley, Bane, Joker, Ivy, and Croc. No Two-Face or Mr. Freeze? WTF? Then again, looks like there's nothing for defeating the Joker, which is pretty strange. Unless it's that "recurring nightmare" trophy.

I guess Scarecrow isn't the exclusive gamestop villain.
