Ok, so I'm doing that first main quest and I've got the guy from the bar to tell me where he is. One problem. I go along the route and find some ghouls mention something about super mutant brutes. There were some on the way in easwell having a shootout with someone. So I follow the route on the pip boy and all of a sudden theres like 3 brutes aswell as other enemies everywhere. After a quick attempt to run past them I got my ass kicked. I only really have crappy weapons like the silenced pistol and non silenced, I have a chinese assualt rifle with no ammo, and I have a Chinese sword thing. All the other weapons are crap like the BB gun.

So am I already supposed to have ultimate ownage guns by now? Oh and most enemies #i encounter I have to run from. I need help of what I should do here since ~I have sucky weps and can't find any decent ones. Thanks.

Yeah, the quest at the Museum triggers Prime's body to show up.

You need the note or he won't show up.

For the Xuanlong Chinese Assault Rifle;

Go to the Museum of Technology. Across the lobby from where you enter is a pay phone, it has an extra option in the screen. 'Prime' is giving a fellow scavenger a test to find him. There are three terminals in the place that you have to find that continue the quest. The trick is in Prime's name. You have to choose the prime numbers from the list of numbers. The first prime number for the first terminal (lobby, same terminal used to start the quest) is 19. The second terminal is in the Museum West Wing, which is past the Vault tour. The number for that terminal is 53. The final terminal is on the ground floor by the Delta rocket. It's number is 113.

After completing that, you'll be given a password for the Security Office terminal. It's outside the Planetarium room, it's a grey hallway. That terminal unlocks the safe inside the Office. Which nets you a key to the gun closet in the Planetarium's office cabinet. You'll get a fair few weapons, such as a missile launcher etc.

Go back and ask him where he thinks they are, otherwise you won't get the map markers.

It's not a glitch, you're not supposed to get that location, just go into the location right across the river, and go into the metro, then go into a sewer grate in the back and follow it to the Family.

Ok I think my game glitched then I didn't get one location on my map.

He'll mark 3 locations on your map, and tell you to check them out. The correct one is Meresti station, which is north west of Arefu, across the river. Enter the tunnels, follow the flaming barrels, till you reach the end.

Wow thanks eveeryone. Especially Ajax that will be alot of help. And yes I would like to know more. Btw I'm also doing the side quest where you have to deliver a letter to a womens family and you

find them dead
. Anyways the guy looknig out for the gang at the bridge told me to look for the womens brother but I have no idea where to look because I wasn't paying attention when he said where he would be, any help?

Follow Ajax's advice for weapons. Apart from that, you'd do well to ignore DC and the main questline for now. Just roam around the Western part of the map, gain some levels, do some of the several side quests, then continue with the core quests when you feel ready.
