good story, cool guns, cool characters....but the online takes like 20 minutes to join a game, and after a match is over it take quite a while too. Sometimes I can't even play because it takes to long to join a match, I mean COMMON, it is ONLY Nintendo that messes online up, Xbox and PS3 online are great! But the Wii always has to lag or do something so pathetic.

It's not even the online that I'm sad about, I find that the story is WAY to short, it hardly took me 7 hours to beat this game, usually it takes a good 15 hours or more on my first time.

These are the main things that I think make this game really a waste of my money, what do you think of this game?

Exactly, I believe the same about how reviewers have the same misconception of HVS's goals with this game. You are right, they weren't planning anything revolutionary or new, besides, as you said, "to bring" that 360/PS3 FPS "experience to the Wii". Why, good sir, I couldn't have said it better myself.

Ha, there was an error in my post, I meant to say that "it wouldn't stand OUT in the slightest".

Ha, whoops. Regardless, sir, I am not moaning about that anyway for its not necessarily a bad thing that it wouldn't do as well on the bigger consoles, for that just goes to show the extent HVS went to in order to make this, and I quote, the "definitive Wii fist-person shooter". That goal, I believe, HVS has reached.

I wasn't nessercarily referring to you as much as a load of people who I've heard brought it up on various forums and in several reviews as well. You're just one of the few people here who've said something somewhat similar, I wasn't directing it at you though.

People complain about it been generic yet fail to account for the lack of such 'genericness' on the Wii from the start, HVS always said they were intending to bring that experience to the Wii, not that they were going to completely crack open the genre or release something innovative outside of the control system.

I don't get this whole 'it wouldn't stand out on the 360/PS3' argument, it's not on the 360/PS3 it's on the Wii. From the start HVS were intending to bring an FPS like those on the 360/PS3 to the Wii because it lacked them, I don't get why people proceed to moan about it. I could say that half the shooters on the 360/PS3 don't standout against each other but that doesn't detract from their quality.

Pff, I didn't say I didn't like the game, it's my favorite FPS. Just, I don't like FPS, so that isn't as special a ranking as it is for other people.
No offense but this is not a good FPS to start out on the genre. You would be better off with a Call of Duty game(primarily the Infinity Ward games since Treyarch just sucks). Or Fallout 3. Or any other good shooter. This game is just pretty basic for an FPS and I can see why it wouldn't make you see why so many people love the genre.
I've played plenty of other FPS, I just didn't like them. I had hoped it was the crappy controls on most other games, but now I'm pretty sure I just don't like the genre that much.

No shit?
The Conduit is getting good scroes and whatnot because it's a Wii title. This game could have easily been another shooter on the more powerful consoles, but then its story and everything else about it wouldn't stand out in the slightest.

On the Wii, however, this is the first FPS of its kind, and I believe it does a really good job of hitting that "Hey, this COULD be a 360 game, but then it would totally phael" mark. Its graphics are absolutely outstanding for the Wii, its story is engrossing (Yeah, well, that's HIGHLY subjective as some call it "cliche"), and online play kicks ass.

I think the campaign is boring as ever and the online is good, but just lags and has glitches. I can connect to games fine but a lot of times it will be a game in progress and I get that glitch where I can't do anything. Check your NAT for your Wii if you can't even connect for 20 minutes.
Hey Mik, if you want you can play Brawl now with no problems as I've been playing it the past couple of days online as play with anyone. Maybe Nintendo has extremely tiny servers for that game lol.

Those issues with joining games used to always happen to me. Have you put your Wii in the router's DMZ? Cause that fixed my problem and I now always successfully get into matches in about 3 minutes tops. Of course, I still can't play do to connection speed, but that's another issue... Also, it might pay to check your connection speed, cause that could be causing issues to.

My biggest disappointment with the game is the fact that it is an FPS, and didn't change my feelings towards FPS games.

Don't get me wrong, this is still a great game, and there are plenty of good FPS's out there. But I'm just not a fan of the genre, and was hoping that the Conduit and its control scheme would be able to show me what everyone else loves about this type of game so much.
