they always hunt in packs and they jump about like Fleaman
and if that wasn't enough they throw a knife every other second
imagine 20 Rippers jumping about throwing knife after knife the only way to counter Rippers is with Giant Ghost soul or killing them all before they start throwing

Mandragora? That's the screamer in the floating garden right? I haven't played this game in awhile. But, increasing your luck, with the right soul, and equipment, the luck ring helps a lot, as des the souleater ring, but it is expensive!

the werewolf was the most annoying "were" monster for me. Fighting him on those stairs while he slid and fired fire at you was really annoying.

I usually got hit by him when I first encountered him. I couldn't finish him off before he started attacking.
