Personally I'd like to use them both along Crono but I think not many people do.
Both Marle and Frog have Water elemental attacks and healing magic that are quite useful.
Which of these two do you usually prefer? Marle is more supportive and Frog is more offensive.

Marle. Her Techs with Lucca are sick-damage, and her heals do just fine by me. There so many "group heal" ITEMS in the game that I used those more during the end, so I could use Marle as a mage.
My team is Crono, Ayla, and Robo a lot of times. Insane damage. Crono's Luminaire is usually enough to obliterate a field of enemies any. He doesn't need any Double Techs haha!

granted very useful againist queen zeal the first time and the masamune has an edge againist the mammoth machine and so well i am starting to lean towards frog *marle rushesat me and holds her crossbow againist my head* I was joking!

frog was way cooler even though marle was nice to be able to steal with sometimes. frog had that awesome attack that dropped a giant frog on the screen. loved using that as much as I could

the best way to see is to fight lavos with marle in the team then with frog and see who you have an easier time with

i use frog ussually cause then i have room for chrono and magus to damage and have frog to lay down some decent damage if the fight isnt all that big, plus decent healing, and u cant beat frog drop

well lets compare. marle can go with ayla for twin charm luccaa for the antipodes crono for ice swords and aura whirl asnd robo for a healing combo that rivals double cure. frog goes with ayla for slurp kiss useful robo and crono for night raid bubble hit spire as was said, red pin. robos heal beam is stronger then heal from frog with a little bosting where as frogs magic based techs take a lot to boost which his healing relies on. frog is your water swordsamn with water magic that does minor to moderate damage while marle can use support like haste provoke aura and her combo attacks such as lifeline delta storm final kick and arc impulse with frog. but the others besides arc impulse do massive damage i saw to match frogs triple techs and marles double techs are strong offensive and healing a mix while frogs are mostly attack based with a few healing thrown in for support in weaker healing i use him for attacks mostly and frog squash which is hard to pull of againist big bosses they can cheat and knock him out before he does it while marles life2 with a gold stud can save you may many a time and her speed is pretty good too.

I too believe Frog is superior. While Marle's Healing Skills are unmatched, Frog would destroy Marle in a direct One-on-One fight. Frog Squash is extremely powerful when used correcty, and Frog has excellent Dual Techs with Crono and Ayla. Frog is most often my 3rd in battle. My 1st being Crono and my 2nd being Magus. Frogs Triple Techs are also more useful, in my opinion.

frog,no contest. not only are his healing techs passable in the regualr game,but once you're in new game+,his far superior strength,dual techs with crono,and lack of need for healing for a lot of the game make him the better choice. my party's 3rd member changes,depending on the situation,but crono and frog always make up the core party. except when crono dies,at which point i 'promote' frog,and bring in robo and lucca.
