That is odd, I just got the game and had not played that much, but was able to play one level of verses mode. Silly question, do you have 2 controllers hooked up?

I'm already up to chapter 4 and have unlocked a couple of maps for the versus mode. The only problem is the versus mode itself doesn't seem to be unlocked. I did open it waaayyy back when (I got the game a long time ago but only recently picked it up again), but I must not have saved it. I can't for the life of me figure out how to open it!!!
