I just found something when I was searching the internet.
It's a parants guide to Grand Theft Auto: Double Pack

quote Gigex
There are two game titles that all parents should be aware of before buying their children games. One is the infamous Mortal Kombat that lit up Capitol Hill and arcades alike with its gruesome violence. The other is the new king of video game violence, Grand Theft Auto.

Grand Theft Auto III and Vice City started a new revolution in the way games are made and the systems people play. Without a doubt, each game is popular because of the actual adventure players go through. However, just like you may not let your kids watch The Sopranos on HBO, these games may be a bit too heavy for even the most mature kids under 17.

While Rockstar Games has bundled Grand Theft Auto III and Vice City into a single purchase for a nice economy purchase, this isn't the title you'll want your under age child playing. Featuring car theft, vehicular homicide, police chases, murder, and prostitution, GTA is worse than many R-rated movies. For your family, stay away from anything GTA-related.

I started playing Wolfenstein and Doom when I was in second grade (back then I had a 486 and all the other kids were jealous) and I turned out ok, I think...of course my psychiatrist would probably disagree . Just kidding. I probably wouldn't want little kids playing games overly sexual in nature, but that's it. Everything else they can see for themselves on cable TV. What's the big deal? Of course, maybe that attitude is the reason for what's wrong with America today...or not.

I'm a 38 yr old male with a 12 yr old and 13 yr old kids.

I let them play an M Rated game like GTA AFTER I play it first.

Only I know how mature my kids are and I talk to them about what's real and what's not.

If my kids want to play an M Rated game, they do so under my guidance. If I play a game and I feel it's too violent and sexual, then my kids don't play it. But if it is like GTA3, that's fine. It's just blood, stealing, shooting, etc.

IMHO

Ya know slime. There are just so many little kids out there who buy this game. For instance, 11 year old brother he bought it and it's really more hmm.. don't want to be vulgar... Racy for him or most kids that age.

man these ppl really piss me off! either they really dont know who theyre provoking by publishing this crap, or theyre just plains stupid. i mean really. gta is NOT worse than an r rated movie. im 14 and i enjoy these games more than anything. i dont wake up and think maybe i should go and kill someone. honestly it says that this game is too extreme for even the most mature kids under 17 what the....? honestly these ppl are just morons. i bet ya the person who wrote this is an old bag who has nothing better to do than to look down on things.
just like those movie critics. they dont rate a violent movie high enough cuz its not suitable for certain ppl. if ya check the movie ratings youll see movies like resident evil with one star and movies like yu-gi-oh with 4, thats complete stupidity. like i said b4 ppl who write these kinds of things are most likely 50 year old men and women who were made fun of in school and nobody liked.

I would just leave it up to the parents. There not blind they can see the big 'M' stamped on the box. I am sure most parents use their best judgement before buying these games. If you ask for this game and your parents don't get you it, it probably because they believe you are immature. Which you probably are.

Sep 18, 04 12:19PMstupid dude

parents who try to hide thier children from the world are stupid.
I went to catholic school, and was homeschooled...
now i smoke drink, have a mohawk and am aithiest....

i'm still not allowed to play games like GTA or True Crime, but i have them anyway...

botom line:
parents are stupid
