Well, I have Pitfall: the Mayan Adventure for the PC, and I don't think they're very different. I know how to beat the Tiger (actually a jaguar) on the first level. I, personally, sling rocks at the jaguar while jumping over him just before he goes towards you. When the jaguar pauses while inside a tree, that means he's going to jump. When he jumps, DO NOT jump or he will hurt you. If you are low on health, you can use the rock bomb. BUT, the only way the rock bomb will work is if the jaguar is on the screen when you fling it. That's all the tips I can tell you except for looking around the level carefully for ammo, health, or treasure pieces, because they can help you out.

Okay...I'm going nuts trying to figure out how to defeat the tiger on the first level of Pitfall! I thought it was with the exploding stones, but that doesn't seem to be working either. Ideas? I'm new to the Pitfall game and have really enjoyed it thusfar. I'd really like to see what comes next...
