I have a similar problem, i don't get any error messages, but when i tried to run the install shield, it just did nothing. I have tried this msconfig stuff earlier , but it didn't worked.

Try adding your program with the add/remove utility in your control panel. A 5006 error code comes up periodically for me at work and I have learned through countless hours and frustration that this is a good fix 9 out of 10 times To be honest I am not sure why the error code comes up other than it being an issue with install shield.

Ok i have solved the problem

Go to start>run then typin in msconfig then check teh box saying diagnostic startup then apply it.

Now restart your computer and install it, once installed go back into msconfig and check the normal startup again, restart and the game should work!

Just bought the PC - DVD version of substance, as soon as installation begins it gives error code 5006. It seems I'm not the only person with this problem:

I emailed Konami, they replied within 30 mins asking for info from dxdiag, I sent it back but heard nothing since.

Can anyone help me here?
