There really is no need to cheat on this game as with only a small amount of practice you should find winning on the EASY setting quite simple.

I have played quite a bit and have found that the VERY careful use of the horse's character gauges and equally careful control of the Bit Level help a great deal during the race. Only whip the horse when your stamina is at about half of 1 bar left on the gauge

TIPS: Use the bit level like gears on a car but make MOST chages only 1 level up at a time, 2 if you must.

:- Shortly after starting, try 1 - 2 lights ("0" for some back runners!!)

mid-race up it to 3,(P.S. going into corners is a good time to up the bit level!!!).

You should be at 4 somewhere near the final corner, (BE VERY CAREFUL of tracks with a long home straight not to "GO" to early).

Only go to 5 shortly before you go to "GO", (You can make most horses go to "GO" by usinf the "STRONG DRIVE" skill instead of the whip!!! always take the softer option to preserve energy). Some horses like to be egged on only every 2nd or 3rd stride in the home stretch and always use the whip as little as possible!!! BE KIND 2 ANIMALS !!!

And lastly, my theory is GET OUT EARLY most of the time, better 2 have gotten a lead then slow the horse down to consrve energy and build POTENTIAL(VERY IMPORTANT!!!).

BEWARE the EVIL STEWARDS and get to know your horses and if all else fails use the save and reload feature, BYE.

Easy is simply too easy, but this game has got a lot of potential. I like the Steward Enquiries which stops me tending to slip in front of the horses to keep my position...
