You guys almost answered everything well enough, except for 6.
6. There are items that are EX, this means its cannot be traded or sold. There are montsers that drop RARE items that can be odtained when you defeat the monster. Other items don't have RARE or EX in their descriptions are just regular items you can have as much as you want or as much as your bag and safe can hold.

Here is a link to show you what all of the artifact armor looks like, the race it is on is a mithra.

I'll label what job is each from left to right.

Thief, Red Mage, Black Mage, White Mage, Monk, Warrior, Custom Clothing (Every race gets their own, you can use it all at about lvl 33), Paladin, Beast Master, Dark Knight, Bard, Ranger.

Samurai and Ninja aren't in this picture.

Not that I'm aware of, but as Sourside said if you were to finish "everything" you'd log alot of playtime and probably look like Jabba the Hut as well. Besides, SquareEnix keeps putting updates with new stuff that they force you to download the next time you go to play. So if you did finish everything, chances are there'd be something else to do soon.

2. how do u know what good items are? ( i been playing d2 for a long time and theres a difference bewteen good and bad items.)
It's interesting that you'd ask that because there are two answers really. 1- Look at the stats and 2- Even the "best" weapons may not be the best for you so sometimes I've found myself wearing armor that isn't as good defensively because I wanted the +3 evasion that it gave me. It's all a matter of choice which there is plenty of in this game.

3. wut is artifact armor?
Sourside answered this perfectly, at least to my knowledge anyway, so listen to what he has to say about it

4. why are the keys so hard to get use to.
If you're talking about the controls, they aren't that bad, an hour playing will fix most of any problems you may start with, the same as any new game really. If you're referring to Khazam or Pal Mine key or any of those it's because if it was easy then it would lose it's challenge and become incredibly boring. I know it doesn't seem that way and some of the quests/missions can leave you banging your head against the wall, but sharing those irritations with other players is a great way to vent and laugh at each other's misfortunes and successes.

5. can u buy most of the best items or are there items that you can only get by finding them.
Although there is alot you can buy some things you have to find (unless you want to pay a virtual fortune for them) this is one of the things that makes this game fun. Earning new/rare items.

6. do weapons respawn if there all gone.
I don't think so but the weapon turnaround is great and generally you can find whatever you need at the Auction House

7. who is the best starter chracter?
YOU ARE. Choose the type of character that you like. If you want to cast damage magic choose BLM(damage) or WHM(curative). If you want to beat everything up choose WAR(more def) or MNK(more offense). If you like a little of both choose RDM(kind of an all around character). I really don't know what a THF is for so I can't tell you about that. Each race is unique too and some work better with some jobs than others. Hume is pretty much an average character. Galka are huge and strong more suited to dealing damage and beating stuff up. TaruTaru are small weak little things that are better suited for magic. Mithra are catlike creatures that have high agility that're best for THF or even a fast weaker MNK. And Elvaan...I'm not too sure about because I have never used one.

thanks for helping

You're most definitely welcome

1. Hmm...well, techincally, you can finish everything there is to do...but id say the time it'd take would be somewhere near a billion hours,

2. You know, by looking at its description and stats...

3. It is armour that is uniquely for your job, which u get at around Lv 60, and you have to finish a quest to get it.

4. Keys? You mean the keyboard? It isnt...

5. Well, you can buy alot of the items, but armour, like artifact armour, you can only get by finishing quests.

6. Weapons dont just pop up on the ground...so no. But monsters respawn that drop the items.

7. There is no best.
