I run Windows XP Pro updated with Sp1 with an Athlon 1,2 GHz-processor, have updated the 4 in 1 drivers, and installed the Via_USB2_V258p3-L-M driver; I just installed a USB2.0 PCI-Card, but the USB2-connection ist just as slow as the old USB 1.1. which was installed before. What is wrong?

I have installed a wireless LAN (D-Link,air plus). After deactivating the speed of the scanner was unchanged.

Is anything else running on the other PCI slots? Sometimes a LAN card or a sound card can cause the bandwidth on the aging PCI interface to quickly become saturated, which may lead to performance degradation, which could explain why it's no faster than the USB1.1 connection...just a speculation

The device is a scanner Canon 3200f, which run about 15 times as fast on a computer with a "good" USB2.0

Is the device you're using USB2.0 compatible?
