Yes, this game has single player and multi player modes you could play your bro.

Is this game online only?
If not does it even have a single player mode?
I was thinking about getting it but my ps2 isn't online and my bro is the only person i get to play games with and he won't always play shooters with me, so when he doesn't want to play multiplayer on a game like this i go and play story modes and such by myself.
