I know how late this post is but i had to put my 2c worth in. To really kick ass in hurricane pack 2 you need to know what phases go with what weapons and the techniques are best. The most effective weapon is the diablahro and the true dragon sword. Chaining ultimate techniques with diablharo racks points up a lot. Avoid using ninpo because your better off spending it on upgrading the diabhlaro. The ogre/triceratops bosses are pretty easy, but i know your frustration, believe me lol. You are best to save a blue orb form the last scence and connect a ultimate as soon as they spawn jumping around chaining the UT's together. Thats if your ging for a big score, otherwise just keep at it.

Hey. Finally got around to playing this after it sat on my XBox for over 6 months. Never got through HP1; never found the time.

I'm doing pretty crappy at this expansion pack. Died a couple of times through phase 1, a few times through phase 2, and something like 5-6 times through phase 3. Phase 4 is kicking my butt, though. The giant triceratops monsters are what's killing me. I can get up to them with not much problem and not too much item usage (if I'm not screwing around), but when I get to them, it all goes to hell pretty fast. It's hard to see what they're doing because the camera is too close to the action, and they attack pretty fast. None of the weapons I use seem to hurt them that well. I'm thinking that using Intercept is gonna be vital, but the damned beetle thingies tend to screw me up and open me up for the giants to take off half of my energy with one blow. And the beetles and the quickness of the giants make it hard to keep the Essense->Charge->Essense... routine going.

I've gotten past them one time, and died pretty fast when going up against Doku (since I used all of my items on the giants).

Any advice on getting past them? Which weapon works best, defensive or offensive gameplan, etc. Thanx.

Liam, the Hurricane Packs are extra content for the game. You'll get more enemies, weapons, bosses and broken control pads.

£10 is an absolute bargain if you enjoy a game that demands your absolute attention in meticulous execution. If you enjoy a very thorough challenge, you'll love this. It feels like a very old-school type of game, and thats a good thing.

I just wanted to say that personally I think that your posts have been pointless flames due to a large ego (BadassNinja).
At least his posts were on topic. Having an ego is a bad thing in most circumstances, as it is not warranted. I feel that Badass Ninja's supposed "ego" is, however, warranted. It is not as though he flames everyone on this board claiming to have the utmost leet pwnz0r skills compared to everyones hampered ability. He doesn't put himself on some kind of higher plateu and even offers useful advise that is posted publicly for everyone to use. I'd say he's been pretty helpful, if not a little over-expressive in the comments made by a person making a post with little credibility.

I know for a fact that there are thousands of others out there that have beat it and did very well out there and yet they don't go off and act like a jerk to everyone else because they have an overinflated sense of grandeur about them.
I see your point, but I think this "overinflated sense of grandeur" was only present due to the credibility of the post questioned. Does everyone you know lie too? I think that was the only reason why the guy was flamed.

Yeah, I know, this had nothing to do with me, but bleh. Long time forum reader, first time poster.

N00b alert:

I just ordered NG for £10, anyway; are all of these packs just upgrades (bugs etc.), or do they offer different challenges so it's best working through the game with each one?

Cheers.

I just downloaded this today, how do I get the different costumes? It doesn't seem to work.

Say no more! say no more, Evil Black Mage. What you've said will definately keep some people (badassninja) from flaming. and anyways, talking of pros at this game, i finished it at the best time, unlocked all ninja gaiden trilogy, beat all the challenges to get my hands on "Lives of a thousand Gods", finished it on very hard (thus unlocking evil ryu) and i also tried my best to get all Master ninja status. Aha, now look here, there is no competition when it comes to games, it just depends on the amount of time you spend on it.

and what's this about vol 1 and 2, does it mean that some volumes are harder than the other. if so, then i must be playing the easiest version lol.

Ok, first off, I am sorry if I make anyone angry by simply posting my angry opinion on the board. Normally I would never do anything like this but I felt I needed to, just this once. Most importantly I will tell you that I am not good at this game, I have yet to beat even the normal part of it. I just wanted to say that personally I think that your posts have been pointless flames due to a large ego (BadassNinja). I only found one thing that is remotely useful in any of your posts, that thing being your strategy guide. But quit flaming bgeXIII all the time. Does it really matter who the hell beat it and how good they did? I know for a fact that there are thousands of others out there that have beat it and did very well out there and yet they don't go off and act like a jerk to everyone else because they have an overinflated sense of grandeur about them. So please, please stay on topic and stop flaming one another. I am sincerely sorry for wasting space on this board, but I felt it had to be said. Thank you. Sincerely EBM.

i agree with bad ass ninja, i just finished hurricane pack 2 and i very much doubt anyone could get to phase 4 wihout dying at least once, the four armoured dudes pummeled the s**t out of me! then to have to fight dark alma and the whip weildind fiend straight after! that is a mission. if you dont know whats coming how do you predict their attack pattern?its way too brutal to progress that far without dying many times

There wasnt a 1.5 was there?
Are you getting it mixed up with the hurricane pack vol 1(1.1)?
