My least favorite Mega Man game is Mega Man 1. That game is annoying. It took me weeks to beat it! The music sucked too. On a scale from 1 to 10 I'd probably only give it a 4.

Was it? I thought it was called something else. I can't remember what at the moment, but I don't think it was Break Man.

Wasn't his fake clone in Mega Man 5 called Break Man? I'm pretty sure it was.

It's my second favorite, after MM2, but it's a close race. MM3 is great. Speaking of Protoman, does anyone know why they call him "Break Man"?

MM3 is a great game. It's actually my favorite in the classic series. Gotta love Protoman.

That's ok, Rikku. (Do you mind if I still call you Rikku? I'm used to it.) You're entitled to your opinion. I agree, some of the tunes in MM6 are really cool, and I always like MM3. Speaking of MM3, I recently saw a guy beat it in like, 45 minutes. Pretty damn fast.

Forget how I said I like the music in Mega Man 7 and 8 before. Now, I'm really liking the music in Mega Man 3 and 6.

Other than Mega Man 1, Mega Man 5 is one of my least favorites. I just didn't like it as much as most of them.

Keiji Inafune may have been disappointed with MM3, but most fans are not. He has said, however, that MM2 was by far his favorite. So, let's agree that MM2 was the pinnacle of the series, and it went slowly downhill from there.

You should know what you're talking about before you call us "biased fans". There are plenty of people who ARE biased, such as yourself, because of the more powerful sound capabilities of the SNES and later systems. They don't like the "bleeps and bloops" of NES music, and don't consider it "real music". Let me guess: You and your friends weren't old enough to have appreciated NES music when it first came out back in the 80's, am I right?

I don't like the NES music better because the games are better (even though they are). The music, at least in the first 4 games, in my opinion, was far superior to any of the tunes that came afterwards, and that is part of the reason why I enjoy the games so much.

MM1. So hard it isn't fun.

Are you sure you're a Megaman fan? I mean, it's fine that that's your opinion. But Megaman 2 and 3 were the pinnacle of greatness for the series. It's generally agreed that the games slid downward somewhat from there. How anyone could not like number 3 boggles the mind!
Mega Man's creator himself, Keiji Inafune, said that he disliked MM3, to the point of it being one of his least favorites MM games.

Why don't you guys like the music in Mega Man 7 and 8. Both games have some of the best music more than any Mega Man game.
I haven't played MM8, but I agree about MM7.

quote Vile Megaman
Nope. Those of us who grew up with the Megaman series (meaning the earlier games, 1 2 and 3) know that real "Megaman music" is 8 bit midi techno/rock kind of music. They are very catchy and well composed tunes. It may sound weird to later fans, but there really is no better music, in any game.
In other words, the NES games have the best music ever for biased fans.

Now, how about the unbiased ones who never played a MM game?
I obtained MM 1-7 at the same time and tried all of them the same day. And I definitely decided that MM7 has the best music. It is what I call "real" music, unlike the NES MM games. And I after showing the games to my friends, they agreed that the MM7 music is clearly superior.

So in short, you might say that the NES games have the best music for old school MM fans. But it seems (at least to me) that by general standards, the MM7 music takes the cake.

Though Cut Man's stage's theme was good.

That stage had some great level design. Fun and interesting. I also enjoyed Star Man's stage quite a bit.

I especially had liked Gravity Man's stage.
