I just tried to install an Athlon 1200 on an old M7VKB motherboard I still own and use for testing, but it only recognizes it as a 900 one. Everything works, but at 900 Mhz.

I installed the last BIOS upgrade I found (1031f) but this doesn't solve the problem either.

Has anyone an advice?

Thanks!

Use a Duron B processor.I have the same board MVVKB with no jumper settings and I used a Duron 1300B 100MHZ front side buss, booted up just fine.

It won´t be probably clear expected answer, but...just today I´ve learnt on Net something about VKB...I´ve got it like a trash with burned Duron...be carefull about version of your VKB - on the left end of PCI/ISA shared connector is text: "ver:1.0" (or 1.1, 2.0 etc.) I have (of course(;-))) ver:1.0 and have the same problem. Despite the amount of released versions (which is not visible on name "M7VB") I didn´t find the properties or differences between versions - maybe that 2.X versions have all pins...Sorry of my english

As no one has answered to my question, I'll reformulate it in another way.

I found out in the meantime that to get 133 fsb I should short pin 1-2 and 5-6 of JCLK1.
This jumper set doesn't exist on my board, there is only the place where the jumpers should be, with a strap shorting the contacts corresponding to pin 1-2.

As 133fsb= pin 1-2 and 5-6, would it help if I soldered a strap to short the place where pin 5-6 should be?
Would I get 133 fsb this way, or does this mb miss some chips to operate this function?

Hope someone let me know. Thanks!
