a lot of them are pretty nice.. let me explain why..
ISA Rifle: I Like. recoil, yes ,but i find it's a bit stronger per bullet in comparison to Helghast Rifle, that one my have less recoil but it's so inaccurate. also i'd rather have a grenade launcher instead of a shotgun. i also love how they thought of taping two magazines together, flipping it around for the next one, lol. if you notice you always use the same two magazines
Grenade Launcher: Pretty decent, optional bombng system, lobbing shots are hard and pulling one off successfully at far range is satisfying.
Battle Pistol: it's small so your field of vision is great. i always fire then reload, and in the middle i switch the next gun so that can cover me while its reloading. Have gameshark (inf ammo) in this and this becomes so deadly.. 0 reload, 3 grenades per shot.
Squad Cannon: Oh man this one is most exhilarating than the rocket launchers. the Dual shot thing is more of an Addon than a feature because it's nothing special. Never the less i like it because it's faster than a rocket, and it shoots straight (but up to a point).
Rocket Launcher (ISA): every shooter has a rocket shooting weapon, so here's the basic. in addition, there's a laser guided function, great for getting those cowards hiding behind the wall. Activate your Gameshark Inf Ammo, and you have a Automatic Rocket shooting weapon of mass destruction.
Rocket Launcher (Helgahst): 3 shot's per reload, that's a pro, the con is that it's big, it covers 3/8 of your screen. the accuracy is pretty crappy, but usually you have to aim a bit lower than where you are aiming at. and i also like the backup feature to lob all rockets remaining in the barrels. great way to cover a land amount of land in a click of a button, and as a final blow.
Shotgun: really just for quick close up battle. best used when glitched.. R1 + R2, 3 shells, definite kill, just it takes forever to reload, so not my most favourite.
Shadow Marshall gun: Silent function, and regular fire rate, it's line of fire is pretty narrow, so its on an average use, pretty accurate, small for quick moving, zoom for those sniper-type manuever.
Sniper Rifle: Beautifully designed. the scope function is a bit annoying due to the fact that moving the crosshair up to a point moves your look. so it becomes frustrating sometimes, the nailgun sound of it is spectacular, and a kill is even more satisfying.
Chaingun: 800 bullets, no reload is teh sh*T, rocketlauncher addon is nice too... the fire rate is impressive and the look of the flame that is projected is pretty too.. but sometiems blocks your field of view during a tight situation.
Light Machine gun: One of my favourites, faster than helghast rifle, slower than chaingun, 100 bullets a magazine, tha'ts pretty good, 300 bullets at max. no overheat and its pretty accurate at close-midrange . I love it.
Pistols: ISA one is plain dumb, helghast one is better, but finding clips for this is a bit challenging. however, it was said by someone that the pistols are Dead 100% accurate. the noly reason they miss is becasue your a bit off. plus its a handheld so its light and you can see things to your right. optional 3 or 1 bullet per shot, it's simply outstanding.
Knifes, instant kill, but at the risk of killing yourself i like it though.
Designator: The ultimate Killer, Laser guided Clusterbombing killing machine.
AA Gun: No Overheat, no reload, the FASTEST firing rate amongst all other guns and you get to sit in it too, and the dead accurate.
Emplaced Machine gun, limited angle, overheat with no reload, inaccurate too, dont like.
ALAT (the emplaced grenade launcher) it's pretty good, it'll go where you want it at least.. like more than the emplaced MGs...

My favorite is the ISA Assault Rifle.
It seems to fire a bit slow, but it's extremely accurate, is powerful enough to take down Helghast Regulars (which are the most common enemy) very quickly, has a far enough zoom to take down the most distant of targets, and the canister grenades are good for emergency situations.
Although that one is my favorite, I only use it for large battles with lots of enemies attacking and I don't have much support. I usually use the Helghast Assault Rifle since ammo is readily available from felled enemies.
My second favorite would be the Helghast pistol. Just thought I would mention that.

My favourite weapon would have to be the ISA Assault Rifle. It has firepower, accuracy, it has a destructive grenade launcher attatchement, a nice zoom... Its only drawback would have to be its lack of clip capacity. If it held perhaps... 50 rounds like the Helghast Assault Rifle, then it'd be perfect.

ISA Assault Rifle handles pretty much all situations. Good weapon
