i loved shenmue 2, it took me a long time to get it and i was very happy with it....until disc 4... disc 4 was the most utterly boring bit of a game i've ever played in my life and the disc was pointlessly too short (although i'm glad it was that short because it sucked) and it was so boring. all you did was follow that girl about which you've been hearing about through all shenmue Iand u just follow a boring path, and have to find sticks, then when you get to her place, the game is destroyed, as it explains something about magic in the mirrors, and dragons and everything, i don't like it, it spoiled a good game and made it stupid. ridiculous. spoilt a very good game

I'd also prefer it to be some kind of mechanism that looks like an illusion, but the hints they've been dropping kind of suggests Shen Hua has some mystical powers.

I actually didnt mind the 4th disc. As mentioned, it was different from the 3rd disc. The conversations, if listened to, were interesting and to be honest, I loved the ending. I dont see it as super natural. Im hoping its just some ancient Chinese "magic" which is actually a mechanism. Plus, it seems way more epic than the first eding (even if, overall, I prefer the first game)

Yes Disc 4 was boring, (or for the xbox owners, the forest bit) but then again if you listen to all the conversations you find some nice bits of info that help you understand more of the game and of the characters.The fourth disc added a bit of variation, collecting bits of branch from a cave using your zippo lighter as a torch, anyone? Also Disc 4 was relaxing from the fast paced 3rd disc in Kowloon. I think its a bit harsh to say the fourth disc destroyed the game, I still think Shenmue 2 is a kick arse game even if the ending was a bit dry.
P.S The tree outside shenhua's house, its called a shenmue tree, right? Or was I dreaming that bit...(Bit rusty you see, havn't played the fourth disc in a long time...2002 i think..)

99 % of players feel the exact same way, me included. more so because of the over exaggerated mystical element implied rather than the boring walk with Sha Hua
