Well, another Call Of Duty game has arrived. After playing the Original on the Pc i was extremely disappointed in the tacky "call of duty - finest hour" for the consoles. So, what do we think of this new game? If anyone actually OWNS this, some feedback and information would be good, since the Neo review is pretty shabby.

this game is fantastic for the first few times you play but as soon as you beat it on hard, it looses its novelty fast. Honestly, there isnt even different country campaigns.

The only problem is that you can't hold Health Kits. The good thing is you are not a medic, so why carry them around?

Yeah, I have also beaten the whole thing on easy (I wanted to test it out) and Normal. Hard, for some of them, is hard. I can't even beat Liberators on Hard. It's that part before the final bombing.

OK, i have had this game for a fair while now, i have completed it several times on both hard and normal. I have to say, while it isnt as good as the PC version, it is easily the best FPS WW2 game on the Gamecube - The only other realistic FPS i can think of being timesplitters. This game has it all. I especially like the ability to pick up turrets and deploy them on walls and fences. The Graphics are superb, as is the sound and gameplay. I had a few issues with the game: the review boasts that you have to watch your team-mates gain experiance alongside you, only to see them brutally killed. While this is true, it wasnt what i expected. Each of your allies has a specific point in the game, and untill that point they remain invincible. I feel that if your teamates could die at any time, you would feel more protective over them, effectively involving you more in the gameplay. Because of their infinate health, you sense a detatched veiwpoint from the rest of your squad. It seems a bit silly to make such a realistic game only to flaw it with such a simple issue. Another problem i had was with the save points. Checkpoints are fairly frequant throughout the levels, but if you want to quit the level you have to start over from the beginning. While this may seem like a problem, some of the levels tend to drag on a bit. Many of the levels get increasingly difficult towards the end, and i found that i got stuck at certain stages. You cannot simply turn off the machine and try again later. The exclusion of a multiplayer mode was also a bit of a dissapointment.
Basically, this is a very in-depth computer game, with lovely visuals, a realistic storyline and sounds, and with amazing intuative gameplay. However this game is not for those who want to "pick up and play", and to effectively progress through the game you need to put aside chunks of about a half hour to an hour for each level. Having said that, there are loads of levels, offering original FPS scenarios and gameplay. A Very Good Game.
In Comparrison to other WW2 games - loads better than ANY medal of honour game. TBH, i think medal of honour is becoming a bit of a joke. "Brothers in arms" i have not played, but it seems to be borrowing fairly heavily from call of duty in much of its gameplay and ideas. I have watched a demo video and the graphics didnt seem that great. But i honestly cant say, it could be a great game.
In my opinion Big Red 1 is the best WW2 game on the Gamecube.

well i only have one more chapeter to do and i say this game does what its been made to do. To show and experience what the big red one went threw. I don't think it was meant as a full fledged game like CD2. Call of Duty 2 big red one sounds like a short different version. Which it is basiclly is.

i havent played this but i'v heard it isn't very good and if u have the pc i would suggest just getting cod2. I have it for xbox360 and it's really nice. Best shooting game i'v ever played.. Especially since u can play the pc one online... that makes it a ton better right there.

Man, I have had this game for about three days. It is without a doubt the best looking, hardest, most real life war game ever. I highly recomend it.
