I'm a bg fan of Quake mainly becuase og Quake III Arena. I read that this game isn't like the arena. And it was more of Adventure. Instead of fragging others you have to "save the world". So my question is: Does this game outmatch Arena?

The single player, however, continues the story of the first two installments in the Quake series.
If you're referring to Quake 1, that doesn't actually have anything to do with any of the other Quakes. They called Quake II 'Quake' because all of the other names id wanted to use were taken at the time, and I haven't played Quake III but I play single player games a lot. (No Internet on decent computers you see.)

Definitely kicks the crap out of Arena. This quake returned to the greatness of it's Single-Player roots again.

Quake 4 beats Areana hands down..

graphics...the team work...the story...

the story makes sense and is almost like a film !!

aww Quake 4 all the way

nothing wrong with a bit of retro

Multiplayer is same only looks better and is a tad slower, maybe not really, but your characters are bigger hence it seems that way. Weapons are a bit different, but i like the game single player and multiplayer alot.

I liked the single player too! There are some really cool levels! But I missed Tank...

I enjoyed the single player WAY more than I had expected to.

The multiplayer is just the same, with better graphics. The single player, however, continues the story of the first two installments in the Quake series. You'd have to be the judge whether or not you prefer that to playing bots in Arena.
