Ill bump this and give it a shot...! Im currently replaying my leaf green to complete it before platinum. I am currently at silph co. and here is my current team!
(wish I started with Char but meh) (Also bear in mind my pokemons levels, most good moves havent been reached yet, I also love this team as the pokemon included have excellent versatality.IMO)
VENASAUR: Quiet Nature (cba to restart everysecond I have another 5 venas on emerald) Level-35 -Tackle -Sleep Powder -Leech Seed -RazorLeaf
VAPOREON: Modest Nature Level-36 -Water Pulse -Aurora Beam (Soon to be Icebeam) -Bite -Surf
NINETALES: Modest Nature Level-34 -Attract -Confuse Ray -Flamethrower -Quick Attack (Wanting suggested replacement) (I love my Ninetales as her annoying moveset helps progress hard battles)
RAICHU: Quiet Nature (bad for a sp.Atk poke I know, but the amount of Weedle/Caterpie I encountered gave me phobia ) Level-35 -ThunderBolt -Slam -ThunderWave -Strength
PRIMEAPE: Quirky Nature. Level-34 -Karate Chop -Rage -Focus Energy -Mega Kick
DUGTRIO: Adamant Nature Level-34 -Rock Slide -Aerial Ace -Magnitude -Dig (As you can see, my TM enhanced Dugtrio is my sweeper of the group with many physical based moves, dont be confused of diamonds new changes to the move system!)
Rate and judge please!

You should teach Charizard Heat Wave. Pokemon Move Maniac is on Island 2 in case you didn't know. Need 1 Big mushroom or 2 Tinymushroom.

Could somebody help me with some moves? I just beat the elite four.
I need some help with this one.. looking to replace all but flamethrower
Venusaur lvl 46 timid nature Growth Sleep powder Leech Seed Razor Leaf I like these moves but there's not many pokemon who are weak to venusaur, so I was considering replacing it. Any advice? I was thinking replacing it with aerodactyl.
I'm replacing shock wave with thunderbolt as soon as I get enough money.
Dragonite lvl 58, mild nature Safeguard Thunderbolt Ice Beam Flamethrower I really like this moveset. I know Dragonite isn't the best special sweeper out there but for some reason I've always wanted one with this moveset. I am currently training a second dragonite that will be more of the 'standard' dragonite, so move suggestions for that would be appreciated.
Thanks.

@ marcusmerehay, that doesn't make since either, Magneton is more defensive than Electabuzz and Electrode combined. Really, Magneton sucks, unless you want to, you know, trap all the in game Skarmory.
Jolteon, Light Ball Pikachu, Zapdos, and if you picked Blastoise, Raikou, are all much better electrics than Magneton.

First of all remove Magneton and replace it with a good defensive pokemon it might have good defense but sp def sucks If u desperately need an electric type just use a Raichu or jolteon: As for the team:
Sorry, WHAT!? Magneton may not have a great special defense but it has an enormous special attack. if you're that worried about being defensive then use Electrode or Electabuzz. For attacking, Magneton and Jolteon are surefire bets when the Magneton learns them, get Lock-On and Zap Cannon instead of Supersonic and Shock Wave.

just beat the Elite Four with an incredibly minimalistic party. i had to use one revive and 4 hyper potions, that was all :S. Having completed the Elite Four, my gang resulted as such:
