I got finished playing Dragon Quest VIII a few months back and decided to blow the dust off of my first game (this one) and gotta say the magic is still there. While they have improved on many things like not having to instruct your character to do everything (like going up stairs) which was a bit annoying. Beside that I still enjoy this game and it should stand as a testament to what was the birth of RPGs.

After I beat his game, I swore off RPG's for life. Too much walking around. Now they're all I play. Guess this game just had that effect on me.

Still love the original Dragon Warrior...it was the first game I ever played for the NES. In fact, I am going to go through it again soon with an emulator and create a walkthrough to put on my website for this game.
Definitely a classic!!
