My attention has been directed towards this forum due to it's high activity. I will be checking up on it periodically as I am the section moderator and this forum is unmoderated. This forum will not get a moderator, because most of it's activity is spam that I can clean up in 25 minutes and PSX forums are unapplicable.
First off, in a forum without a moderator, off-topic general discussions are not allowed. You already got an on-topic one, and soon I will see how on-topic it actually is. The off-topic is obviously not going to work out. It was started 4 days ago and had roughly 200 replies. Obviously something like that would require more constant supervision, so I've deleted the thread and I insist that you don't make another one.
I'll allow some of the games that you guys like to move on, but do remember, that when they reach 30 pages, they'll be closed and deleted soon after. It's spam that does not need to be wasting space in Neoseeker's database. You'll notice a lot of threads spontaneously disappearing in the next fifteen or so minutes, that's because I'm cleaning up the crap here.
I haven't seen any real problems in this forum, rule-breaking wise, it's just a bit of spam. As long as you remember to follow the sitewide rules, you'll be perfectly fine.
If I've closed or deleted something I shouldn't have, or you have a suggestion or comment for me, this thread will remain open and I will read all things posted here.

Hmm, there's a "favourite quotes" thread, but no "guess the quote." I know they're kind of similar, but in the quotes thread we have already we must nearly have used all possible quotes already. XD At least this way there'll be a reason for it. And it might be a more active thread, too. And a little fun.

I often do the same thing. And that's pretty much what I was thinking.
It might encourage more help threads, too. A lot of times I've seen people post in other MGS forums asking for help with this one, because they think this forum's dead.
And you're right, it may be a little easy, but we can try to make it difficult, see how it goes.

Yeah, as i know at times even myself, i go to forums, check out what has been said recently, if there is nothing much, then i may make a thread, or just leave it as it was.
have done this in a few forums, such as REsident Evil Code Veronica for PS2, Tenchu 1 for PS1 and Wrath Of Heaven for PS2, sometimes starting a thread, makes people post, although it tends to be a one off.
But with MGS1, most people loved the game and are bound to check the forums now and then, and with the threads being the same, such as "who is the easiest boss" or "favourite quotes" etc.. they would of already posted there opinions, a trivia thread will make people participate, get the question right and post one themself. Although it may be a bit easy, as after playing MGS2 and 3 as well, most people tend to know the answers just like that, but thats where we just have to think of harder ones.

Yeah. It's kind of a pity the older forums go quiet when the new games come out, though.
But perhaps something like this might end up bringing new people? It will raise the activity, anyway, if the regulars post, and that might get the forum noticed a little more.

Its a good idea, just with so limited people posting here, if may not get that far, especially when only a few check the board regular.
I guess most forget the old boards and just concentrate on the new, which as we know is MGS4, as MGS2 and 3 forums tend to be quiet now.
Suppose we could give it a go though, who knows, we might be suprised.

Both seem ok, to me.
What do people here think of an MGS-related game or two in the forum. Like perhaps a trvia thread, or a quotes-guessing game?
They're still fairly on-topic, and they might bring more on-topic discussion to the forum, too. Plus they might be fun.
I can PM Ameer and ask him, if people think it's a good idea.
